is flex make it a good offroad car?

sorry english isnt first language
Lockers and tires are much more important, but flex is always helpful too. Too flexy and it'll be unstable on obstacles though

The rubber in the OP looks like they're inflated to normal pressures... Surely with that much flex and the overall crawler look of it, they'd have put some wider, less inflated tires on? Seems like a weak spot.

No, not really. Traction decreases as weight is taken off of the tire. Good tires, good angles, good ground clearance, and traction control devices are the most important.

toughness matters too. especially when you need it. you dont want a dana 35 in anything
>>14111364
Yes, toughness matters. I forgot people actually buy weak shit like Jeeps.
>>14111365
selling my jeep was something i have not regretted one day.
>>14111373
What did you replace it with?
>>14111374
A jeep
>>14111374
2012 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0
>>14111390
Well it's stronger, but I'm not sure how it is off road.
>>14111314
Those tires might be to get it on and off a trailer easily.
>>14111314
Skinny tires are better off road.
>>14111443
this. and in snow.
those would be awesome.
>>14111450
They're only good in snow and mud below the ground clearance of the vehicle.
>>14111341 if you have solid axles like a man then the axle acts as a lever pushing one side down as the other side is compressed. Don't use independent suspension like a fag and you don't have that problem.
>>14109713
I smell a trap.
>>14111614
That doesn't work that way. You basically made up a fulcrum in your head.
>>14111862
>pivot points=/=fulcrum
>>14111903
fulcrum |ˈfo͝olkrəm, ˈfəl-| noun (pl. fulcra |-krə| or fulcrums)
the point on which a lever rests or is supported and on which it pivots.
>>14109713
what a ugly trap
>>14112296
Yeah, the axle pivots around the spring perch fucktard, that's what I'm saying
>>14112898
it only pivots one way. it lifts the other wheel. unless you happen to drive a jeep hurricane
>>14112898
You don't even know what you're trying to say, anymore, do you?
>>14111614
the vehicle always has the same cumulative weight. correct me if i'm wrong, but lifting up on one tire doesn't change the weight distribution differently on a solid axle rig than an independent suspension rig with the same suspension travel.
