So /o/ I'm looking to get a sport bike for commuting but it's going to be my first bike. My price range is around $4500. I figure I should probably go with a 300 cc as this is my first bike so with these things in mind I think I'm looking at a honda cbr300r or a kawasaki ninja 300. But I'm also worried they won't be powerful enough for freeway commuting for me (I'm 5'10" and 220 lbs). Thoughts?

But if you keep the curve of original tire size (small upgrade) you wont loose that much of the leaning angle and will benefit from the extra grip. I will not go on a fucking track with my bike. Upgrade from 110 to 130/140 is insane, but just a small upgrade from 110 to 120 wont hurt it that much...

I just expect everyone to get a bike and ride. It's what we want, it's what we do, think about it with all your energy and you'll get a bike.

I'm currently nobike and broke so I can't get back on the streets or trails or wherever but I plan on bringing my bike back in shape, it didn't happen this year, maybe the next one or maybe next week.
I started my bike life here, the flame was lit in /dbt/ and after many awesome years, it got to a hiatus now. Can't wait to get my bikes back.

dual sports are kind of a jack of all trades, master of none. it's not going to be super comfortable on road, and off road the suspension and weight will hold you back. with decent road tires, street can be done fine. might want to upgrade the seat as well though. with these changes, it would be a good first bike.
