Speaking of shitboxes. I have an older 93' toyota. It still has the original starter and alternator. Would it be a good idea to replace those parts before they eventually fail and leave me stranded? or is that a waste of money?

but that is an easy fix. you just buy a new belt and install it properly. install it nice and tight so it won't flip over. if still flips over then you got a problem.

if whatever the hell the 15 amp fuse is connected to hasnt blown the fuse then that is acceptable..

that 25 amp fuse on the other hand is asking for it.. though I think if something were to happen to cause it to draw more than 20 amps Im willing to bet that it will draw more than 25 amps aswell, blowing the fuse.. still a retarded idea.

buy a new belt.

make sure non of the pulleys have play. replace as necessary.

you can buy this and listen for bad pulleys.

ps, this is not an easy thing to spot when buying a new car unless your some autist who spends 45 minutes looking under the hood.
