No way it's less than that, that's the low side if OP lives in a cheap area and gets some kind of homie hookup or a garbage paint job. Where I live that's just a total, would probably cost $15k to fix. Parts: fenders, hood, grill, radiator, lights, bumper, all brackets, electrical connectors, hardware, and whatever else comes up, there's 2k already. Another 1k in materials for filler, primer, color, and clear, all these new cars are waterborne paint so have to use the expensive stuff. The airbags are a whole separate animal, have to replace them, file paperwork, I've never done that part so I don't know the details but I know it's a PITA and not cheap. Labor - tear it all apart, repair the core support, redo the radiator and electrical (probably will have to go out to another shop since body shops may not be able to do this, will have to either way at some point to clear all the codes from the crash), also have to realign it and you can easily find out at that point the suspension is borked from the crash leading to another bunch of repairs. Once the car is mechanically sound you need to prime it, blend the paint all the way back into the doors, clear it, color sand it, blend jobs are hard and costly, at $110 shop rate you could easily approach 40 hours for the whole job.

Airbag deployment makes this a major repair. I often replace airbags and airbag control systems for smaller body shops. It is far from cheap. Often times I'll have 8 hours just in labor for front air bags. Your car will also have pre-tensioner seat belts, occupant classification ecu, center air bag ecu, and probably an entire dash assy.

This isn't going to be cheap.

i used to work for a dodge/jeep/crysler dealership as a body tech. ive moved on, BUT last july when i stopped working there, i had one of these. the grille ALONE cost 1k. youre talking new fender, wheel, bumper, core support, prob condenser and radiator, plus blending into the door and hood, but you may need a new hood as well. youre going to be in for a surprise, and youre going to want to lawyer up, and fast.

Take it up with insurance. If you had bought full coverage then there's no way insurance is 100% off the hook, just saying. Lots of times insurance companies will try to pull a fast one on you and make it seem like you have to pay for the damage yourself.

Core support is probably pushed back looking at the hood angle and headlight bucket, that is going to be the big money repair. Paint will also be expensive. My advice would be to call every wrecker in your area and try and source some oem black parts. I would take it somewhere that has a frame rack and have it checked. You can get oem or aftermarket core support and do it yourself. Just drill all spot welds and use bolts and nuts to secure the replacement. Might need steering parts and an alignment after a hit like that.

Talked to my lawyer and got the paper work started to pursue her crazy ass.

Once repaired, it will be worth less come resale or trade-in.

As a rough formula, whatever the repairs cost, the car is worth less that amount again at trade in or sale. I had an accident that cost $7K to repair (covered by insurance). Three years later I tried to trade it in. My year and model should have fetched $14K~$16K on trade-in with a clean record, but the best I was offered was $9K due to the accident. So I sold it privately.

tldr; If a collision costs $7K in repairs, it really costs $14K once the effect on the car's trade-in value is included.
