Everyone getting a printed cut decal with exact lines is getting a hella good value.

Print shop is asking me for 130 dollars just to get the top half of the "ARIA: The Sticker" and the WAT Racing one contour cut, so there would still be a white outline on the decal.

No way I can sell enough to cover that kind of cost, I'm probably just going to have to do everything myself if I'm going to get ripped off like that. At least it'll open the door for other cut designs.

Look at every peek sticker listed for sale. Do you notice a white outline? On this, imagine a white outline for "WAT" that extends another 1/8th of an inch past the black borders of the letters and the circles with the katakana. Also imagine no bottom text.

That's what I'm talking about, and they are going to charge that much extra money for a sticker I was planning on making 10 of. I'd have to sell the neutered sticker for $10-11 each to break even.

Print shops usually deal with big orders of the same thing, having a bunch of small unique stuff isn't what they're in business for. I was just hoping for a place with a low enough price to be viable.

If you've got a printer good enough inkjet printer, you could honestly do it yourself. Do a few practice prints so you can get used to it, and you'll be set.

Well, if you're doing slaps, then it should be really easy. Die cuts are tougher, which is why it'd be a really good idea to get a cutter.

Also, yeah, ink is pretty expensive, but as with the printer, if you have quality stuff and you've got a good rep, then you'd probably make the investment worthwhile.

Look, BombSquad just takes a long time. I had to pick up my NightShift vinyl at the post office instead of it being delivered.

Even the clerk mentioned it was held up multiple times in multiple locations. I can only assume it's because of the bomb logo on it.

Really hope you're correct.

I just figured I hadn't heard of anyone here waiting almost 80 days and then actually receiving the stickers so I figured they just got tossed by the post. Honestly, it wouldn't be that far fetched for them to just toss the envelopes and move along, they do shit like that all the time.

I have faith BSG is legit and he always seemed genuine and caring about the community (if you can call us that), but these wait times are crazy, esp considering he said he "handled" it and the newer shipments wouldn't take nearly as long, but I've yet to see any new orders arrive to people.

Not trying to fire shots, though I recognize a lot of people here do that in these threads. I give updates for feedback for BSG to let him know when there are still issues to work out. Never demonized the guy, just wanna see him get healed up and able to correct the imperfections with his "business"

I'm right there with you, although I believe I was the first was to point this out to BSG around early to mid November and myself along with others have said it in the threads since his "death" so I'm sure he has the idea of what to do (i.e. don't use the stamp). I'm sure we'll start seeing much more people receive their items early to mid January, once the non-stamped packages are in the post and actually get to their destinations.

BSG already said he stopped putting the bomb logos on the recent international orders. Only the ones that are within the UK have the logos.

Ones sent earlier might have the bomb logos, and especially late because Royal Mail is ass.

I love the guy, and he's very apologetic, but I do believe the name and bomb logo need to be changed. I can guarantee that's what's causing all the delays.

His stuff is really high quality, so I hate seeing the negativity, but there are a few odds against him. Hopefully things get sorted out in time, but I do have faith in his business.

Transparent vinyl is easier to cut in that you only have to cut as big of a rectangle as the farthest part of the art is. I think applying it has it's own difficulties. Any air bubbles or dust caught will definitely show up much more than applying a cut decal, and decals with transfer tape are pretty easy to do.

Kind of was. Ended up scraping rest of the letters with ice scrape, they came off easily. May not have helped that the sticker was on back window, where I use defroster regularly. But no problems with SEB sticker that is on back side window.

Oh if that's what you mean, just avoid scraping the part with the stickers. They're blocking your view anyways, and if you put them on the right drivers side you won't be looking out that side.

When I printed the aria sticker we experimented with lamination but after it rained a bit the water got under it and the laminate just came off. The sticker still looks fine even after a few months of varying cold/hot and sunny days and defroster use.

Vinyl is very durable, and will last you 3~5 years depending on location. White will last the longest. Warmer/darker colors tend to be the first to go, though.

You can definitely ask to have the vinyl cut backwards so you can apply it from the inside.
Shop window decals are all applied this way to prevent weathering.

I'm pretty sure that excludes any fancy vinyls, such as slicks or chromes.
