How's the winter beater running?
>>
Probably fine, but it hasn't seen much use with how little snow there's been.
>>
>>14081918
What's winter? I live in Arizona.
>>
same as the summer beater
>>
>>14081918
FWD CANT COMPETE

>>14081918
>decided to do some weight reduction in the trunk during summer in my rwd

I literally can't drive on a straight road without occasionally going a bit sideways kek

I kek'd
>>
>What a lovely spring we're having this winter in NC

I changed the battery, O2 sensor cause it finally shit the bed just before I was going to have it inspected, and put a new air filter in. Feeling pretty good right now if we actually get any bad weather this year.
>>
>>14081929

Just replaced the radiator on my beater so i!m good
>>
Jerseyfag here, winter is going better than the beater since winter cant have a slow oil leak and because winter doesn't have an expired November inspection sticker while trying to get the mass airflow sensor fixed in between shifts at work and having enough money
>>
>>14081929
I live in Georgia.

I just stay home when there is ice and snow.

I love in Florida, what the fuck is snow?

>Middle of December
>Fuck these temps.
>>
>>14081929
It's that time of the year that it turns 40 degrees outside in the dead of night.

>>14084333
Checked trips.
Also, it's not snowing everywhere in Arizona, smartass.
>>
Its running fine but the exhaust rattle drives me fucking crazy and my headunit is fucked up so the audio cuts in and out due to a jacked aux port.
>>
Runs pretty well. Makes me wish I didn't get rust proofing.

Ontario, Canada

Currently raining and 6 Celsuis.

Putting everything back together in the Mazdaspeed 6 as we speak after putting in a new clutch and flywheel.

And all else is running smoothly.

Love having an AWD car and absolutely no snow or ice in the dead of December.
>>
>>14081918

Considering its only been under freezing like twice since October... pretty good.
>>
>>14087132
>i love in florida...
YOU GRANNY FUCKER!
>>
>>14087269
That's barely all wheel drive. It only sends power to the back under full throttle or if the front slips. It's purely FWD the rest of the time.
>>
>>14081918
I drive a modern car that doesn't need to be retired over winter.
And, frankly, the only real difference is occasional ice and temperature of the rain. All-weather tires work fine all year, because it rarely snows.

I'm not American, so I can afford and obtain a nice car. Enjoying your low wages, weak labour laws, and high cost of living, poorfags?
>>
>>14088704
Pretty poor bait
>>
>>14088608
It's AWD the moment you get boost. To keep it FWD you have to keep off boost and shift at 2k or less. Otherwise you will be AWD.
>>
>>14088704
I'll bite. I'm considered middle class in The States. And I own four cars and have my own house. And I have more than enough money to blow frivolously on crap.

So, what luxuries do you have in your life, yuropoor?
>>
>>14088774
Of course you'll bite, your massive ego won't let you pass up the chance to be a douche.

Ah, yes! These fools will never be able to experience the ATTESA E-TS four wheel drive system.

Long live Nissan!

hasn't even snowed yet, just rain
>>
>>14089662
Pffsh. The R35 GTR's Traction System and the previous iteration of the ATTESA are not the same fucking systems.

It's literally like Chrysler's 60's Hemi Engines compared to Chrysler's modern "Hemi" engines.

The latest Traction Systems in their cars are labled "ATTESA E-TS" in name alone and are not the old systems. The old systems where 100% reliant on mechanical feed back while the current Traction Systems are is primarily electronic.

They are not nor are they even similar to being the same systems.
>>
>>14089723
Youre retarded
>>
>>14089662
>not knowing the difference between a trip and a namefag
>>
>>14089723
ETS Stands for Electronic Traction System and it was first used in the R32 in 1989. Its entirely electronic, it uses feedback from the diffs, ABS, and trasnfer cases and ONLY ENGAGES FRONT WHEELS WHEN THERES SLIPPING, other wise its entirely RWD.

Please educate yourself before you claim to know anything ffs
>>
>>14089723
The only difference in the R35 is it has to engage the second drive shaft since the transaxle is in the rearinstead of mounted right to the engine
>>
>>14081918
>2015
>winter
>>
>>14081918
it's running year round :^)

>>
sitting in my driveway with a shrekt power steering line

>>
>>14089998
>>14090026
>>14090042
Actually, E-TS stands for Electronic Torque Split. But, nice try.

While the old ATTESA systems used sensors in the ABS and an axis-based sensor in the console itself, it relied primarily on mechanical feedback rather than being primarily electronic. The R35 Traction System primarily uses a combination of sensors and clutches rather than mechanics feedback from the actual car itself.

These two systems are significantly different and are in no way the same system. It's like comparing Mitsubishi's shitty AWD system to Nissan's and saying they are the same system.
