The 04 Volvo is alright. When they went for luxury over longevity their cars ran stronger than their interiors. The 99 s70 does not resell very well and can be a money pit if it's awd (special snowflake parts). $800 resale.

Nah, the P2 (2001-2007) platform was pretty good, it was just that the 01-02 cars had high rates of transmission failure. 2005-2007 Volvo XC70s/S60s are seriously underrated cars.

This /o/ meme that Volvo never made anything good after 1998 needs to stop. Sure, their cars weren't big sellers in the '000s but there was some good cars.
