just fyi about the mustang though, the premium model comes with absolutely fantastic seats. i would 100% skip the recaros and go with a premium upgrade if you can swing it, especially if you live in a hot climate. i adore my cooled seats, they're comfy AF and well bolstered. the recaros lose a lot of the functionality of the factory seats, and are really just unnecessary unless you're a straight up trackfag, which you're not.

OP, I would say to do it only if you think you'll live with your mom until you pay off the car. If you don't, then you're going to be paying rent + utilities + food + car, which is going to be tight on $38k a year. You probably won't be able to save money.
