I'm in canada, are there any better beaters than a 1st gen CR-V for the price?
>awd..kinda
>can carry a bunch of shit
>picnic table I'll never use
>decent mpg
>cheap
What are you guys driving this winter?
>>14050192
Not mine on the pic. But a 3rd gen 4runner is my winter beater. The only thing it lacks I'd say is MPGs, I usually get about 16-17 in the city.
>>14050192
Forester or other subaru wagon
>>14050936
mpg sounds shit but it must be nice to not be horribly under powered
>>14050192
>better
Yes
>>14051279
Well, its 170hp, on a 4000lb vehicle so its not going to be winning many races. It would have no problem driving through hell itself, I just wish it could drive a little faster.
>>14050192
whats this car, can't see the name
>>14052461
A mall crawlered up CR-V
>>14052466
what gen tho
>>14052505
First
I kinda want a AWD Civic Wagon
>>14050968
>Awd
>Comfy
>Wagon
>cheap
>modsmodsmodsaftermarketmods
It's main problems are mpgs and speed, but interior build quality is also kinda shitty. You can get fast Subarus, but most aren't.
>>14052664
but they get better mpg than any crv don't they
>>14052461
>1st gen CR-V
Jesus fuck, get your shit together man its in OP's post.
>>14052870
depends on the year
>>14050192
Do you guys have sidekick/samurai/trackers up there?
>>14053436
Love my 98 Tracker. It's been pretty much bulletproof since I bought it in 2006. Need to rotate the tires though, and give it an oil change. Jealous of that hard top in the pic.
>>14052870
I highly doubt it. Dem boxers aren't known for their MPG
>>14052461
>>14052505
Jesus Christ, fucking read faggot!
>>14052520
i wonder how hard it would be to swap that drivetrain into a hatchback.
>>14054264
Don't be.
They're shit and they leak.
It was a vehicle designed for a soft-top and the janky-ass canopy makers that the dealers used to make them can't make a hard-top to save their lives.
Source: I own one.
>>14053436
they're surprisingly expensive. Hunters like them because they are easy to haul and the fuel mileage is decent for what it is. They're also forgiveable to work on which is nice.
>>14050192
have you looked into older mazda b2200's/ford rangers? 4runners are sick but the gas mileage is horrifyingly bad.
>>14054287
Oddly enough the Forester beats the CRV and rav4 slightly in fuel economy.
By an even larger margin in later years.
>>14054458
even legacys get better economy than crvs/rav4s
