Just for the simple fact there are more 8 second fox bodies out there. Availability must be higher. Since the people that want to run 8s are the ones that have more fox bodies than hondas.
So yeah, a fox would be cheaper.
But if you could "figure it out." You could probably run any car in 8s no trouble.
And there are a few "tricks" for each style of car.

FWD cars you just fucking boost the fuck out of them until they're about to explode every run, nos on top of that fragile motor. Put the tiniest fucking wheels on the back and just fucking cut the front end up until you can fit something meaty up there.

SRT-4s are ample if you like the neon look, but holy fuck do they break down.
Just fucking last night two of them broke down at the street races.
