I also don't care for this.
My Legacy has this, I drive it in "Sport" due to regular drive's obsession with 4th. Going up a 20% grade doing 30mph? You get 4th and the engine gets to struggle while you floor it trying to get it to go.
"Sport" makes it drive in a sane manner and chooses an appropriate gear for the load, gets better milage too.

They could have given the Corvette a run for it's money, right untill about 1969, at which point Ford would be forced to put a big block into that Mach 2 concept. If Lincoln is to be believed, the finished product won't be far off form the concept, but manufacturers always say that. In this case, I'll lend credit to the overall styling and interior not being absolutely unrealistic. The body shape is certainly possible by today's standards, even if the rims, headlights, and tail lights aren't all that realistic.

Even the interior isn't that outrageous. No Aliens inspired xneomorph chairs, no excessive use of screens, and a demonstrable model of their overly-adjustable chairs, the only thing I can call out as unrealistic is the excessive use of chrome and non-factory accessories like the wheel and the dials.

Of all marks, I would say Ford has a bit of a reputation for making more realistic representations of the final product when the initial release is about a year away, though the things that always stand out as the most interesting and unique always seem to be the ones left on the cutting room floor.

As someone who owns a Maverick and is somewhat involved in the history of the car, I want to point out that this isn't a Maverick.

It's an aftermarket conversion by a company that I believe is based in Brasil. Much like the 6-door conversions of lard diesel trucks you see floating around the internet, these really aren't common, and have nothing to do with the OEM, regardless of how professional the outcome appears in these old images.
