hey /o/
Does anybody knows if there are aftermarket flatplane crankshafts for the coyote 5.0 found in normal mustangs?
Is the flatplane in the 5.2 compatible?

I feel like you'd have to do a lot more than change the crankshaft.
(Wouldn't you?)
>>14027496
the firing order and fuel delivery, i would like to think the crank is alreay balanced
there are flatplane kits for LSx engines, and those are the mods needed for it iirc
>>14027434
It's not, the 5.2 is a whole different motor.
>>14027503
and the cams, no?
>>14027526
yes indeed
I think you're looking at an amount of custom work nearing the cost of just buying a crate flat plane motor
>>14027545
m8 a crank, cams and a chip reflash cant be that expensive
>>14027552
they are when you have to have custom one-offs designed and made because of
>>14027504
>>14027566
yeah but im not talking about going to some shop that machines crankshaft and cams and get them custom made, I know that can be done
I am asking if there is an existing kit for a coyote 5.0, there is a flatplane kit like this for the LSx made by lingelfelter
>>14027410
so if you take a flat plane engine and make both banks fire on their own like theyre both inline 4s instead of alternating wouldnt you be able to fire 2 cylinders at once for 2x the power?
>>14027573
lol no dude
>>14027587
just fuck my engine balance up senpai
>>14027597
oh well, there goes my hopes and dreams on getting a 5.0 from a junkyard and getting a flatplane kit
i guess ill have to save my shekels for a 5.2
