Yeah, the only manual cars in america are sports cars and old japanese cars, with a few exceptions here and there. Back in the 50's and 60's automatics were marketed as a luxury feature, Unfortunately thats what most people wanted. Due to competition automakers eventually just made automatic transmissions standard. You can pretty much just blame the boomers

I didn't even have to take a driving test, You can just take drivers education, drive around with the instructor for about 30 minutes, take a 40 question test, take some paperwork to the DMW and they give you your license. I was driving to school by myself at 15

I didn't get my license until after I turned 18 because jesus fucking christ I hated driving with my parents, and they had me do the parent-taught driver education with an online course. So I basically stalled actually getting my license until I turned 18 and all I had to do was a drivers ed course on one saturday then take my test which consisted of parallel parking, reversing in a straight line, then driving around a neighborhood for a few minutes. Still took it in a manual even though it wasn't required, I didn't even drive an auto until after I had my license.

In America, the driving test is easy af
When I took my test they never had me parallel park, just drove through downtown so the instructor could see how I did in traffic and then drive back on the highway. Its pretty simple.

Assuming your county or whatever does make you parallel park for the test, just use a friends car that has a backup camera if you don't trust yourself. However, you probably should learn, just use 2 things close together to "simulate" cars and try to park between them (cones will suffice).
