I now own a garage tall enough.
Is it worth it though?
>>14022129
depends, are you going to use it?
>>14022129
Get a four post. Don't cheap out. Ask around at your local mechanics, see what they use, ask any issues they've had.
>>14022136
I'd like to get up under a lot of cars if you get what I mean ;)
>>14022138
I've been watching a lot of Tom's Turbo Garage, and his garage is so clean and has a sexy lift in it. He uses a 2 post, wonder if it's really worth it to drop on a 4 post.
My heaviest vehicle is an Impala SS.
>>14022147
Don't get a four post if you're actually trying to work on the car.
>>14022147
2 posts give you more access, try doing a fwd gearbox on a 4 post lift.
>>14022129
I don't think it's worth it. It's not very fast and they're mostly built really cheaply. I don't know why you're considering a Cobalt.
>>14022164
Ah the old 4chan switcheroo.
>>14022164
They're faster than a r34 gtr tho
I say yes. I had one at my last house and I miss it so badly. It was a Rotary 2-post with a 5 ton capacity and could lift a Cummins dually with ease.
>>14022129
If you're gonna work on the car a fair bit, then yes, absolutely. You can get them for around $1,500 nowadays
>>14022136
This.
I knew a guy who dropped the dosh to get one installed and never uses it for anything more than a oil change or brake job.
>>14022129
I would stop working on my vehicles if I didn't have a lift anymore.
Buy one
>>14022228
shut up
>>14022228
That's shopped to fuck ya turd
>>14022367
Is it really that hard to believe a pigfat 2 ton skyline is slower than a sub 3000 lb car with virtually the same amount of power?
>>14022464
The only skyline that has a burgerking time is the r33 which did 8:01. Rule 3.
>>14022228
Nice try anon.
>>14022129
Yes.
>Is it worth it
No, it offers nothing but convenience and you aren't getting paid flat rate. You aren't getting paid at all. But, I'd still absolutely buy one if I could afford one because they are cool and I don't like laying on my back.
>>14022138
>get a four post
wtf? four post is shit dude.
