So, I bought this G4JS (basically an Evo variant 4G64) a while back to put in my Mighty Max, but then I found out that the Evo bellhousing bolt pattern is different from the narrowblock bolt pattern. I'm not really sure I want to bolt it up to a KM132 with two bellhousing bolts left uninstalled, since that just seems like it's asking for failure with any amount of power. Should I just sell everything and get a B2600 and DSM 4G63?
>>
>>14019800
Oh wait, it would have to be a DSM 4G64 and 4G63 head since DSM '63s are narrow block.
>>
>>14019770
I had a '10 4.0L V6 (all options) and I could skid it uleh, maybe it helped it was an extended cab.

The thing would spin the tyres even when on dry asphalt pretty easily.

A TRD supercharger helps a lot, best thing ever.

I don't get the point here. Put the same engine / transmission config into a more aerodynamic car and it'll preform better.

Also, if these trucks are made for going fast I bet they're shit at doing truck things.
>>
>>14020428

Trucks didn't have to conform to CAFE regs back in the day. You could cram those huge engines in trucks without worrying about emmisions or safety like in cars.

Never change, America. You fat fucks are hilarious. What other country would create a vehicle that's completely useless at both of its stated goals? Making a pigfat truck handle like a pigfat sedan while crippling its ability to do Amerifat """"""""truck"""""""" stuff? Glorious. Although I must admit you'd be the flyest fuckin guy in the McDonalds parking lot.
>>
>>14020490
Assuming a european or australian is actually this butthurt and not trolling, these trucks still tow just fine and haul things in the bed just fine. They just corner and accelerate a bit faster and look a bit cooler than regular trucks.

>>

Objectively wrong, you can't haul or tow anything with it. Not the syclone anyway, it specifically states you can't in the manual.

Australians have tons of 'sport' utes, too

90s Lightning is a normal F-150 with GT40 heads (which is not nearly as cool as it sounds). 2000s Lightning has an 800 lb tow capacity. It's also significantly slower than the Syclone, being much heavier and RWD with no weight on the driven wheels, and no ability to handle weight on the driven wheels.

I thought the normal 10-cylinder trim truck was that version, and the SRT10 had something closer to a Viper engine.

Also posting best custom sport truck.
>>
>>14020832
Second gen rams only had V10 Magnums, and third gen had the SRT10 only I thought.
>>
>>14020811
The viper block is basically an aluminum Magnum 5.9 with two extra cylinders. The Magnum V10 is based off of the Viper V10. All of the internals swap between the two [1st gen anyway] The whole top end is different.

25 years, /o/. Nearly a quarter century old and still the fastest pickup ever made. Only ones that came close where the Ram SRT-10 and the Lightning yet they couldn't overcome the AWD and lighter weight of the GMC. Ford has taken their truck in totally different direction and Dodge simply just pulled the plug on their performance truck program. The only way Toyota could compete was with a dealer-installed supercharger that wasn't covered on the normal factory warranty. Holden's attempt couldn't even be called a pickup truck at all. The truck was beast back in the day and it's amazing that no other pickup could topple it from its throne.

How much longer, /o/? The factory sport truck segment has vanished with the X-Runner was killed off a couple of years ago. Light duty trucks have gotten bigger, fatter, and less speed oriented. Small trucks as we knew them no longer exist any more. The only only logical contender would be a full-sized truck with something really mean under the hood to get all that pigfat weight moving.
>>
>>14021294
What else would you use them for? They are shit for everything else. They suck offroad, at least where I live, they are too heavy, the light trucks are always better.

I have 3500s and 5500s at work for towing boats, but without any weight on their axles they are absolute shit
