Explorer engines are cheap as fuck and you can make good power with them.You can also find ones with oil coolers which is a plus. I'm going to throw one in my Capri once the engine goes.

Whats the best wagons to make a sleeper out of?

They are based on the fox body and that means they can do pretty much everything a mustang can do

Congrats anon, id work on getting an efi 302 and get a mustang gt as a parts car for suspension. Fox body parts go right on.

My dad was given a '72 Chevy Chevelle Wagon from some old dude. He had converted it from manual to auto and from the original V6 to a V8(350). Was thinking of trying to do something with it.

OP here. Got it for $500 cause the old lady who owned it before hand passed away. The paint is a little faded but I can fix that. Turns out she really liked modifying cars to suit her purpose so there's like pull down sunshades everywhere but the velcro is all fucked up and old now so it doesn't really work. Has a CB radio but I don't think it's wired correctly. Has an aftermarket radio from the 80's. Absolutley covered in CAA (AAA for the americans) stickers. Also has an early backup alert system that uses radar. But my favorite part is the AC outlets she had installed inside the trunk section so that she could plug in a water heater and make tea on the side of the road...
