You know, I actually just drove a P-71 for the first time last weekend, and that motherfucker was pretty solid. My uncle just started buying up police auction cars as a little side business, and got an 06 police interceptor for 600 bucks.
He gets the inside scoop on whats actually good coming to the auction and gets to check them out days before hand. Fuck, this one had $600 worth of tires on it alone. The engine is strong ( though yeah its no sports car, but its still fast) the suspension is tight, the steering was tight with no play, and the brakes were great. The paint sucked, was the only problem with it, and $500 later a mako paint job fixed that. It looks basically brand new.

Now I have driven M5s and AMGs and stuff, and I know a P-71 isnt "fast", but goddamn they are solid cars. The only downside is the image you put off driving one. And I think other police will not take kindly to it either, unless you can pull off looking like a cop well enough to fool even them.

Dude, I have driven tons of sports cars. Body roll =/= bad handling. Its not a sports car, no, but it can boogie with some skill behind the wheel.

The one I drove must have had a worn out LSD, because it would only burn the inside tire coming off corners at ~35-50mph, I couldnt get it to kick out, or at least I wasnt brave enough to chuck in in fast enough to. At parking lot speeds it would though.


Anyway, Im just saiyan, this was a $600 car here man. You want a cheap good car? P-71.

Only thing worse are the 2-door convertible versions, especially with turbo.
Now, not only do you have a slow, unreliable, gas guzzler that crushes like a tin can in a crash, but it also has a loud, leaky ragtop, no room inside and it runs exclusively on 91 octane but drives only slightly less slowly. And it kills it's pathetically unreliable slusher transmission faster.
