Silvias are better than platforms than rwd Skylines, the suspension is pretty much the same but Silvias are lighter. With an engine swap there is no reason not to take the Silvia over the Skyline. The Skyline isn't a purpose built sports car platform either like others said. GTR wins because of it's AWD as a platform though, the torque vectoring and grip more than make up for the extra 400lbs ~
