I started playing GRID after buying the humble bundle.

I turned off all the assists and set it to expert mode or whatever, and my experience so far has been that as soon as I get to the middle of the pack, some jackoff AI rams me into a wall.

Is this normal for this series?

rFactor's gamepad controls are missing everything that is good about controllers in console sims. They work really well for drifting in those because of passive countersteer assist while rFactor you either snap yourself off the road the other way because you steer too fast or can't correct at all because the speed sensitivity won't give you enough lock on its own.

The moment someone started screaming for a restart I checked the minimap, where I see that everybody is chugging along in one way or another - to me that means the restart conditions have NOT been met, you don't get a free chance and another shot just because you're incapable of driving around without hitting each other. For restart conditions to be met, the track actually has to be blocked so that traffic behind cannot progress through the incident, not just that half the grid crashed because they're retards, and then you need to clearly inform me that this is the case. As it was, the two loudest people calling for a restart were Kraid (who fucked up leaving the grid somehow and lost a lot of positions so he was mad about that), and Kita, who I know is of the opinion that we should do as many restarts as we need (not happening) and was saying "restart!
