The best wagon is a Subaru, but volvo comes in a close second.

Correction. It's a corolla
>>

Sorry, I'm a cheap jew for whom maintenance costs, parts and repairs being more expensive where I live makes Volvo wagons a no-no.

However, it's still sexy looking
>>
>>13972375
Not as nice to drive and not 'about the same cost', much more expensive (and fragile)
>>
it is not the best wagon. it's actually pretty far from it.

>>13972745
well don't get an outback because it's worse than a volvo for repairs and costs.

What considerable expenses have you done recently? I have the same Gen, lsd rear dif. Mines been relatively cheap. 210km. Easy af drain and fills for oil, tranny and difs. Radio reception sucks ass in mine though.

2000 to 2003 Audi Allroad.. you know why.

112k miles
timing belt service (normal maintenance, can't complain)
clutch, flywheel
throwout bearing (awful design)
valve cover gaskets TWICE
corroded battery leads
airbag light coming on randomly
an axle seal on the trans leaked

I've had the car for 5k miles
>>
>>13972805

>stickers plastered over rear windows
>can assume various stupid diy mods have been done to a car that was probably bought 2nd hand without proper inspection
>probably driven like a race car without being properly maintained

Don't blame Subaru for your own stupidity m80.
>>
>>13973474

Only 'mods' are all-terrains and 1" lift spacers, which are hardly actual modifications. Which were installed after all mentioned repairs. That's because I believe in mechanical maintenance and repair before unnecessary parts. No plasti-dip or ebay mods. 174hp in a car this heavy might be impossible to drive fast in.

This is a daily. I have other cars. I've likely done much more proper work and restoration than you have.

P.S. Which window do you think I should put the Monster Energy sticker on?
>>
>>13973461
Whoa dude wtf did you not inspect these things or you bought it at cost due to it? Personally I wouldn't have bought it based on fact that timing belt wasn't done but that's more so my wrench skill than anything. Like 400$ diy or 1200 at shop.

And about that airbag light, I had a similar issue and it took 5mins and a solder gun to fix. Bad solder point on pcb board in overhead console is the usual suspect. Google it, plenty of pics and info on it.

Transmission is a hog on the 4eat but no issues with it. I've so far enjoyed my outback. Passenger Cv boot tore but you can ride on that for a while before caring.

I knew the TB needed to be done, and I was ok with doing it since it was regular maintenance. Valve cover gaskets seemed fine when I bought it (symptoms appeared 2-3k miles later). The car has a great history. 2 owners before me, been in the same city since new, traded in by the 1st owners at the dealer they bought it new at. I bought it from an elderly couple who towed it behind an RV (has some cool towing thing in the front bumper). Never saw the airbag light since it has been intermittent (I looked up the fix, seems simple). I'm mechanically inclined and have done way more work on my other cars, it's just annoying since I bought this as a daily and now have to work on it more than I anticipated.

>>13973659
Pre-cut Lamin-X, also yellow bulbs.

>>13973939
If it was my only car I would have gone for an XT 5MT. But this was cheaper, gets better MPG, takes 87 gas, and is cheaper to maintain. I have 2 other fun cars. Most people don't understand the joy of having a really boring daily, because my other cars keep me and my wallet occupied enough (and they're not even close to being subarus).

no its the volvo v70 glt
>>
>>13972375
It also takes premium gas which is $.50 - $.75 more per gallon than regular by me

Considering I pay $1.75 for regular, paying $2.25 or $2.50 for gassing up a slow mommy wagon seems like a bad investment. It's not like it's a performance car where you can justify paying for premium fuel.
>>
>>13973939
>Forester XT
Way outside the price range.
Extra maintenance.
The 2.5NA sucks
I'll just never have a subaru

fuck Audi but that RS6 Avant tho

That's a funny looking Liberty RS Turbo you have there.
