Thing about gas prices in the US.
Yes they're a little cheaper than some Euro countries.
But it's sludge gas and subsidised as fuck and still only slightly cheaper.
Worse still, you HAVE to drive everywhere. There is no such thing as public transport in 90% of the country and where it exists it's usually an under-funded, unreliable, corrupt mess to transport hoboes, ghetto trash and tramps from one shithole to another.
So we have millions of people who would rather take a bus if it didn't suck, a train if it existed or ride in an uber or self-driving-car who don't care about driving and suck horribly at it polluting our roads, burning our gas and jacking up our insurance rates with their irresponsible behavior.

There are small consolations like cheap cars and gas, but overall it sucks. I support better public transport not despite but specifically because I love driving.

What are you guys talking about? I live in the US and good 'ol 87 is still like $4.10 a gallon, last I checked
