When will you finally grow up?

Stop investing so much time in your rusty old cars (which are also very bad for the environment!!!!!!!!!), open your eyes and see how cars of the current year are objectively better in EVERY regard.

>lack of safety
a thing of the past

>gas guzzling, in-efficient engines
a thing of the past

>manual transmissions
lol, are you kidding me????

Also, compare the design of your shitty rustbox and these modern cars.
Compared to your pathetic shitbox they look so much more pleasantly belligerent and sassy with their aggressive stance, squinty headlamps and coupe like low roofs and high belt-lines while also being much safer for you and pedestrians.
Come the fuck on and get with the times.

I have a 1976 Pontiac Ventura, sure not super boxy but still fucking better looking than anything made within the past 15 years. It has a LT1 and a 4l60E. Fuel injected system is really the best way to daily drive an old car in my opinion.

Bought it almost 3 years ago for 3.5k. Everything with the engine and tranny was already done by the previous owner. Since then I have only really put in about 1k of work into it. Nothing serious, just basic shit. The biggest problem it gave me was one day the fuel pump was getting no power, so i just ran a new connection with an override switch.

You're best off building one yourself like that. While the other anon made out good with what he got I've see far too many hack jobs in my time to ever really trust such engine swaps done by someone else who's not a professional shop. At the very least you might be able to buy a swap that has fucked wiring, as many of them do, and fix all the wiring problems keeping in mind that bad wiring could burn the whole car to the ground.

>>
>>13953931
What >>13955080 said is true. I did get very lucky and trust me when I say the previous owner did not do a perfect swap. For example, he put the engine mounts in upside down. Thankfully I fixed that shit within a month of owning the car. Also the other fuck up he did was that he installed the fuel pump in the trunk. Which is easy to access but he still had low pressure lines attached and no type of firewall in the trunk.

But if you want to link your craigslist and tell me what kind of budget you have I would be more than happy to take a look for what I think may be your best choice for old and reliable. Because you don't always need to do a swap to be reliable depending on what the stock engine was.

Thank you for caring man. I'm sorry for those of us who ride at 150 mph then complain that car drivers don't see them coming, but as long as you change lanes slow enough and use your turn signal beforehand we'll be able to spot your intentions from far away and even the squids will react in time.
