Feels even slower than EP3. Vtec is kill. N/A is kill. Why would anyone go for this instead of any other turbo shitbox out there? 6,5 sec fwd isn't impressive. We have GTI, Asta OPC in Europe, Megane RS, Focus RS and few others. All these cars pack more punch and have certain character.

Now, we all admired honda for this doron-don-don get low rice-ish thing. So why the new type R?

Well, the last Honda a liked was 7tg gen EU accord. Had one, actually. Type-s, 190ps, sweet car.
Now the 8th gen became generic mom's car. Another camry. Now type-r, it's really upsetting.

Of course I understand that. But I would like to emphasize how the car feels. Sound is gone, now it's generic turbo sound, indistinguishable from any others out there. And even if it wasn't a hard start, further acceleration is not impressive as well. I bet a 320d would kick its ass. That was the point of a turbo then?

Old one looks better. Though really, it looks better than every modern super car. The NSX doesn't look that bad compared to it's rivals imo, it just isn't stunning. The old one was beautiful when it came out. The old one looked very composed and understated, while the new one is aggressive and over the top. Not a big fan of it. It should have looked more 488 and less 650S

But it is a super N/A engine on it's own. I don't understand why you are complaining. You would rather have a slower N/A engine than the same engine factory turbo? Well, turbo engines come at a price too.
Reliability is more of a question just because it's more complex than NA, meaning more expensive repairs and maintenance as well.
The long run is a question too. N/A engine in most cases will give you more miles than a turbo one.
And yes, the pure N/A sound is lost, which is important for a wannabe sports car.

It's just the cons, and if the benefit is obvious, I'm fine with it. In this case, I do not see the staggering difference from the previous gens.
