Hey /o/ I'm looking to remove the cat and 2.25" Y pipe on my 1984 vette. My question is will the side pipes be the same horsepower gain as the H pipe? Also could people burn themselves when they get out of the car and touch the side pipes? Not looking for headers or an X pipe since most shops around here do not know how to make an X.

Does anyone still make sidepipes for the C4? I thought they discontinued them awhile back. Either way you're probably better off with the X pipe. Depending on the system the side pipe bends are more restrictive.

Local shops said they would fabricate me an H or some side pipes. Online sites offer long tube headers + X pipe but I don't want to spend $1500 or have problems taking the car up north if I have to move
