I've always loved the look of the early 90s Mercedes and found this 93 in my area for a good price. Does /o/ approve? I'm good with upkeep and maintenance and don't mind spending $3-4,000 to get it back to mint condition. Any information or experiences with the 190 would also be appreciated. Is it a pretty reliable vehicle? Inb4 hurrdurr MBenz reliable

that's why I swapped in a Nissan RB20DET + manual gearbox, and installed lowering springs and stiffer shocks into mine, it was really what the car needed to be fun. such a great chassis, but the Mercedes petrol engines are really mediocre and underpowered.

to elaborate, I'd have gone with a 1JZ or RB25, but I got the RB20 for so much cheaper, and it should be good for 350-400hp with bolt-on upgrades. even with the stock turbo it does hektik skidz, unlike with the old 2.6 boat anchor

Looks clean and well equipped. Ask for if head gasket is done, it's very common fail on these cars but it's relatively to easy replace. Pay very close attention how it idles, should be smooth 600? rpm on automatic.

That's the problem, it's not in great condition to begin with. I mean, there's a good door, a good hood, sunroof, the lights are OK... Trunk is rusted, body is rusted, driver's door is rusted...Engine needs rebuilt I feel...Interior is 7/10....And it has over 300,000 miles on it. Not that they can't go that long because it's still 100% driveable no problem but it's just...Heart wrenching is all I can say.
