i would love to see a drag race between a Ke30 60 bhp corolla vs a Subaru Leone, i think that would be a tight race
>>
>>13934390
Funny thing is my Leone is a FWD while shitty I would think its less powertrain power loss. I think they weigh about the same. Around 1800lbs.

I have a soft spot for them. Ex-gf had one. I adored how nimble it was. and just about everything that makes it work is from Opel.

Was actually looking for one of these with AWD and the 5 speed manual when I found my Saturn.

lol. Not really, but they are given a lot of shit they don't deserve. Looks and lack of reputation are why it's my favorite Civic generation.

Isn't the turning radius on them absolute shit?
>>
>>13936243
no, wranglers have a pretty tight turn surprisingly. its almost unnerving the first time you drive one
>>
>>13936220

what does "reliability" entail, not starting in the winter? falling apart on the highway?

genuinely curious, looking to buy.

They're supposedly known for breaking down in general. Fiat has the worst reliability of any new car sold in the USA. But I will tell you the driving experience on a 500 Abarth must be felt to be believed. It's like a pet puppy that just wants to play all the time. I teat drove one, and immediately wanted to pet it and give it a name. A Ford Fiesta ST is faster and a better car all around for the price, but the Fiat is a better toy. Drive one.

The start stop automatic sometimes doesn't work when it's cold, but I don't know anyone who really uses it anyways. The lights die pretty quick and other small stuff. That being said, even the twinair is fun to drive, it looks good and for a small car it's relatively safe. You can go around corners with squeeking tires and the rest value stays constantly high.
Keep in mind you buy a fiat with the heart not with the brain.

Now, Miatas at least have their benefits, but no guy would ever drive a 500.

I ironically like the Toyota Conquest Tazz.

I ... I am so sorry that you have to drive the saddest BMW ever produced

But hey, atleast the scenery is nice
>>
>>13936376
Not very. By US law, all companies that sold cars here have to produce replacement parts for that market for 10 years, and all the dealerships that used to sell Suzuki's have to carry them.

Same deal with Pontiacs and Saturns.

>>13936311
>being that insecure
I've driven the 500, Jeremy Clarkson loved it. Drive one. You'll fall in love.

Americans tend to buy fewer shitboxes than Canadians is the explanation I've heard. I've also heard that Canada is an experimental market for North America.

Why it's still worth it for Nissan to meet the safety and emission standards of a country with 1/10th the population is beyond me.

They would likely sell more in total in the US and our standards aren't that different. Canada pretty much just says "me too" to US regs aside from DRLs.
