You know thats a literal woman/girl car right?
>Its not even a V8!
>>13932518
It's such a bad name. Why didn't they call it a TurboBoost? But I guess fucking idiot hippie money is more valuable
>>13934035
Because here in america, noting that something is "turbo" means the forced induction is there to make it fast.
However, that wasn't the goal here, the goal was to make an engine that was much smaller in displacement than it's N/A counterparts and turbo it till it got the performance of it's N/A counterparts when the turbo was spooled. Much like in Europe.
Thus, calling it "turbo" would attract people looking for performance and scare away people looking for fuel economy, when in fact they were looking to attract the crowd that wanted better fuel economy. Thus the name 'Ecoboost."

>Power of a 4 cylinder
>Economy of a V8
Perfect
Because here in america, people are fat and insecure and the name ecoboost was the ideal subliminal suggestion for a desperate crowd of dopamine-junkies looking for that next ego boost.

They should just get rid of the Ecoboost labeling and call all their engines SHO engines or SVO engines.
sure do
>>13934317
I'd agree for the SHO or SVO's, but remember, the Ecoboost badge is there because these cars are basically cars with undersized engines with a turbo, in the way Europe does it. We call it Ecoboost because Turbo to us means it's supposed to be fast, but that's not what they're for.
The 3.5L displacement in a V6 could work fine as a N/A (if the engine were able to do so), but the turbo is designed to push past 300HP, so in that case it's not really under the envelope of what the Ecoboost's original intent was.

DOES IT HAVE THE PERFORMANCE PACK?
>>13934430
>he drives a landbarge
>>13934453
No, it was either ACC or Performance Package. the 2012 only had bigger brake pads and the ability to actually turn off traction control. 2013 is when PP became worth it.
>>13934456
You've obviously never been in a SHO or in one that's been tuned.
>>13934456
Should probably try going heads up with a AWD SHO at a track. They are fast as fuck.

You've obviously never had a woman near your junk t.bh
