Those aren't projectors and no, they aren't. But at least projectors won't blind me if they're properly aimed, no matter how shit the beam pattern is.
>>
>>13917836
what do you drive, namefag?
>>
>>13917852
>has clearly never seen projectors in a lifted truck before
Mine are aimed down to be on the trunk line of sedans when behind them at stop lights. It's a bit difficult to drive when there's no other lights around since they don't go very far out before the cutoff, but that usually means I can use my highs.
>>
>>13917861
>being literally blind
>>
>>13917878

That seems to be the opposite of what happens to trucks in my area. They aim for the sky here.
>>
>>13917884
because most of the people with HIDs, cars or trucks, have them in stock housings, which are literally impossible to properly aim.

So you wanna continue to try convincing me those are compliant and safe lights or what? I know for a fact they are not.
>>
>>13917927
They're absolutely not compliant, but they're safe. Technically any modification to a headlight isn't legal, but nobody cares enough to enforce it because it isn't a serious danger.
>>
>>13917597
>>13917605
Found a closeup, they're eco tint
>>
>>13917936
They're not compliant and they are NOT safe (the low and high beams appear to be those goddamn LED cubes from eBay). You can legally modify lighting, people who own vehicles with 7" round headlights do it all the time with compliant and safe equipment from JW Speaker and TruckLite. It's absolutely a serious danger, you're an idiot if you think it is not.
>>
>>13917951
>those goddamn LED cubes from eBay
>not realizing the headlights cost more than your whole car is worth
Are you counting 3 LED cubes in the headlights, or just completely ignoring the projector? The LEDs are the high beams.
>>
>>13917951
And, JW Speaker and Truck Lite headlights aren't modifications to the OEM light, dumbass, they're completely new headlights.

You should probably throw your computer out the window and never come back
>>
>>13917986
There is no projector, you fucking idiot. There's, what I assume to be, a high beam, low beam, and turn signal. It doesn't matter how much they cost, they're bullshit. No one engineered them. Real companies have difficulty making compliant lighting that performs well.
>>
>>13918002
They're lighting modifications which are legal and perform properly.
>>
>>13917836
Yo, bitch!

talk shit; post your whip
>>
>>13918016
This would be quite the oddly colored turn signal. Did you ever consider that the turn signal surrounds the projector?
>>
>>13918021
So you're saying that if you can buy full replacement headlights, it's also legal to tint them because they're both "modification" to some degree?
>>
>>13918062
Well it's amber, so it's not that weird. The projector is not visible in any of the previous photos and it doesn't matter, anyway.
>>13918074
Because that's the same thing. Vehicle lighting must conform to the FMVSS, that's it. If you can manage that with aftermarket lighting, then it is fine. That's why JW Speaker is able to exist. The issue is that photometric engineering is incredibly difficult and requires lots of equipment, not to even mention the various other forms of engineering that go into compliant luminaires.
>>
>>13918107
Did you even look at the picture? You can clearly see the white light is not coming from the LEDs, but is instead coming from the part of the headlight with the amber turn signal.
>>
>>13918129
>Did you even look at the picture?
Yea, I did, and mentioned that it wasn't visible in any of the previous photos. Can you not read? Are you going to continue bitching about the photos or are you going to pretend to know about exterior vehicle lighting some more because I shit on your pet rice truck?
>>
>>13918156
>I'm going to ignore that the projector is visible in this picture because I couldn't quite tell if it was visible in the others

Those aren't projectors, they're Rough Country off road LED pods.

>>13917986
>Are you counting 3 LED cubes in the headlights, or just completely ignoring the projector? The LEDs are the high beams.
What? There's two LED cubes in each headlight. One for low beam, one for high beam. They're Rough Country pods and are $90/pair. They are NOT DOT approved for highway use, and don't even offer any headlight patterns. They are purely off road lighting. There is a turn signal on the outside of those with a white halo surrounding it. The halos function as DRLs. There is no projector there.

The truck does not have any light source with a pattern resembling anything close to a low beam. The headlights are not legal, and are not safe. They were custom built by an idiot that knows how to play with a Dremel but doesn't understand how headlights work.

I see you know next to nothing about the LED lighting industry. Rough Country doesn't make LED lighting. And it doesn't matter if they're in the headlights anyways because there's still projectors
