mostly get angry at it and put the timing belt cover on, and clean the injectors

went to the scrapyard to get a new lever for my glove box so i don't have to use duct tape anymore

Put in a noice new leather shift boot to replace my ripped vinyl one. I had no idea how much noise was getting into my cabin through the little tear. Sounds 10x nicer inside now.

Filled it up for the first time in about six weeks.

It's a 1998 Legacy GT wagon with a 5 speed.

Nothing but tomorrow is planned to do brake pads rotors, oil change, check spark plugs, and put the winter tires on.

Not quite a steal but still a good deal at £800, 95,000 miles on the clock, total service history with oil changes every 6000 miles as far back as I've bothered to read. Also Aero HOT so I've now officially got nearly quadruple the power of my only driving mate (230hp vs 60)

Investigated sounds from the front I was hearing last night, thoroughly inspected wheel bearings/ball joints, and the stuff I had undone to get an axle out a few weeks ago, didn't find anything wrong. Been keeping an focus on hearing anything from there again.

Sweet, any second gen Legacy is nice. Mine's actually a BK6 though, it has a flat roof. The BG5 has a raised roof like pic related. And for more VIN related stuff the 5 in BG5 means it's a 2 liter. A USDM Outback or Legacy GT has a 2.5, so they'll have a 6, being a BG6 or BK6. Yours being a 2.2 will be a BD4.
