Yes, but quite slowly and you shouldn't use it as a method to charge a battery low on power as it can be harmful and might reduce the lifetime of the battery

only if your alternator has a 0.6 A/R or higher, but they are capable of creating 1.2 pressure ratios from idle

Generally the alternator does not kick in completely until 3000ish RPM.
Revving the fuck out of your engine will charge the battery.

Tfw I work driving a van.
It's chysterler town and country and we leave it running for 12+hrs a day. Not always being driving. Actually about 35% of the time it's just idling.
