Thoughts on this oil? My local dollar store has it for $1.80 a quart.

you probably don't want conventional oil in your car
id run it in my shit box
>>13874977
That's what it would be going in, a 2003 Intrepid
>>13874982
im sure it will be fine. idk why people are oil elitist desu senpai. tons of ppl get their oil changed at service stations and im sure they use the cheapest oil and filters available and never have trouble

Run Synthetic, those V6 Dodges have oil sludging issues, especially the 2.7s. Even if its cheap synthetic (NAPA, Walmart Supertech, or whatevers on clearance). In the thinnest possible weight for your car recommended (5w30 probably)

Shoot

It's a 3.5 liter
>>13874944
it's got NASCAR on it so it must be good
I can't imagine it would be worse than any other conventional
I've seen this sold in dollar stores and it doesn't even meet the API specs from the late 90's but since its going in an old Intrepid with the 3.5 you're probably just fine with it. Do not waste your money on synthetic for that car
listen up synthetic fags, there's nothing wrong with using dino juice.
only thing dino requires is a little more upkeep and seeing how most of you are fucking autistic, that shouldn't be a problem

Fucking kek

Peak is actually decent oil though, I've bought it and poured their 5w30 Synthetic in my shitboxes when its up for sale, usually for $10-12 for a 5 quart jug at Advance.
>>13876856
lol
fucking supertech synthetic is $18 for 5 quarts
>>13875066
I'd still run synthetic, it can still happen on the 3.5s just not as much (mostly due to shitty PCVs)
>>13874944
use mobil-1 or castrol
>>13875035
>cheap synthetic (NAPA, Walmart Supertech, or whatevers on clearance)
What exactly is the difference between off-brand Synthetics and Mobil1 etc?
>>13877356
Additives that try as hard as possible to prevent the oil from corroding the inside of your engine.
The only difference is in using stuff that actually works.

Jiffy Lube uses Penzoil exclusively. You're right about the filters though, some generic white painted filter that said, "made by Fram"
>>13877378
>Wanting people to think your knockoff filter is Fram
>While Wix exists

They are all refined and processed in different areas. Some oils are thinner in their grades than others. Like Mobil 1 is on the thin side to achieve the slightly better fuel economy. Others are on the thicker side to advertise protection.
