Depends on the gearbox
A lot of the modern ones are CVT, but most of the tractors you see around are normal transmissions with a clutch, and a low-range gearbox

Not familiar with how the one in the M135 works, but it appears to be a normal automatic with three ranges

I know to put it in high but what about changing the speeds doesn't it go from 1-8

on modern tractors you only use the clutch to take off, then you slide the toggle up and down while driving to determine your gear.

on an old tractor like this, you don't shift on the go, you select a gear, then release the clutch until you are moving and then you are moving.

also remember, you have no gas pedal, just a throttle adjuster.

That pic I posted of the m100x inside the cab is exactly what I am driving I'm just not sure how to adjust the speed levels like how to get it into the different levels like 1-8 and if I have to be stopped before adjusting my speed levels

Cost is the main reason for the tractor simplicity.

No sense developing something that is not necessary to drive tractor prices up when your clientele can hardly afford them anyway.
