Buy jeep last year
>have driven nothing but a 91 Honda Accord my whole life

>read about how jeeps are designed for on the fly 4x4 i.e from 2hi to 4 hi you can literally just pull the transfer case to 4hi while moving up to 55mph
>from 4hi to 4Low you just slow down to 5mph, shift to neutral while rolling, and then pull the t case to 4 low

>confused as fuck, my dad always told me to stop completely

Crushed the rocker panel in on my 2014 wrangler this past weekend, no fucks given. I even laughed. But heaven forbid I get a scratch on my 14 yo prelude and I turn into blubbering raging mess.

Hafta say it depends on the driver. But offroading is very hard on the vehicle if you dgaf.

I'd like a vehicle that will be good for both highway and light off roading on the weekend. I'd like to do some car camping, and night photography next year and I like to get my ducks in order and have a solid idea of make and model well before purchasing.

Anyone ever done Mountain Mud Run in Warren, NH? I think I want to try it out next year with my XJ after I get a better lift, tires, and a rear locker. Seems like some awesome trails and camping.

The '04 Lexus GX470 I bashed up this summer required you to stop when going from High to Low or vice versa.

I'm hoping to hit some trails this winter and camp before it gets too cold. I have a 2007 5sp Outback with a lift and Yokohama Geolandar ATS tires. Obviously not the most capable car around but I don't plan on doing anything crazy.
