So guys, I've been shown to a well kept 1989 E30 325i touring, 189k km on it, owner is a 65yo looking to get rid of it cause he's going blind. Should I pull the trigger? Pic semi unrelated but car is in same color and has them bbs wheels
fuck yes. you could flip it to some stancefaggot for like 10k.

He wants €2500 but I think I can go lower. Also I'd use it as a daily and to be honest, I'd rather keep the car than sell it to some stancefag even if it's that amount of money. I just couldn't bear knowing he'd ruin it.

just remember you are buying an old bmw. maintenance is not going to be cheap if something breaks.

You're talking out of your ass. E30s were the last BMWs made to last, they're very reliable and pretty cheap to maintain.

This.
E30's are actually decently reliable and the parts are plentiful and cheap thanks in part to stance fags
>>13847499
the aftermarket for e30's is huge there are tons of parts available for reasonable cost.
>>13847499
I know but there's still quite a lot of these on the streets and parts are plentiful where I live so it won't be scary. I do wrench though so if shit hits the fan I think I can manage it

Do it dude. BMW wagon is best wagon. People who don't know about older BMW's typically have the >>13847499 mindset. They're really not as bad as people think. Keep up on preventative maintenance and they won't fist you.
The important things to keep in mind for the specific model, if I remember correctly the engine uses a timing belt instead of a chain like the newer 4 cylinder e30 engines, so look out for that. As for every BMW, open up the rad reservoir and see if there are any gremlins in there, it's quite obvious when something is wrong. Check everything electronic as well. Lights, power windows, wipers, windshield sprayers. Other than that, if it's not a manual what are you doing with your life, if it is, get it.

Manual, took it for a ride, everything works, oil is fine, got a few dings here and there but the geezer kept it real good. And as I said before parts are plentiful so if anything goes wrong I can obtain it easily.
You lucky fucker.
