Six quarts Mobil 1 and two M1 filters for $38 with $20 instant rebate.
Free shipping.

Is this the best premium oil change deal on the planet?
>>
>>13840445
Damn. You better order like 5 of dem
>>
Reporting
>>
>$38
kek, I just bought a 5 quart Mobil1 jug at WalMart for about $25. My last jug was on rollback for $23. Get rekt faggots.
>>
>>13840445
So is it $38 or $18 for the oil?
>>
>>13840514
But you have to pay $7.98 for an additional quart, and my change requires that. And you get 2 $10 M1 filters, and don't have to set foot in a Walmart...

The Mobil 1 I purchased today at Wally was $26.44, the same viscosity as in the OP, which is the most expensive grade of M1. The K&N filter which is just a rebranded M1 with a nut welded on the end was $14.99.

All told I paid $53 today at Wally, and I would have paid $37.98 for the same thing PLUS a 2nd oil filter.

Can you even into maths?
>>
>>13840529
$38.
I mentioned the instant rebate because so many rebates are mail-in faggotry.

My car takes 5 quarts so I dont have to pay extra for shit and I use OEM filters that costs $6. With taxes my oil changes are about $32 and some change dollars at walmart.

>K&N
kek.
>>
>>13840593
I did the math.
To get the Wally oil quart for quart, filter for filter, you would need to buy 6 jugs and 10 filters at a total of $285.14.

The same quantity at Costco would only cost $189.95, almost a hundred bucks less.

>using fram ocod
I don't drive a shitbox, tbqh fem.
>>
>>13840593
K&N is a Champion made filter, same as M1, Royal Purple, and the other top tier filters using a blended media and the arguably best bypass valve.

Your OEM Fram has a cardboard backplate and shit tier filtration... unless you drive a Ford, and are running Motorcraft which is a mid tier filter with a good bypass valve.

WalMart Mobil1 is $25 and Costco is $38. I dont understand how Costco is less when Walmart is $13 cheaper.

Dont bring up the rebate either, mail in rebates are for suckers.

You are incorrect, that same oil pictured is $26.44 at Wally, I just bought a jug today.
Your shit tier econobox low compression trash viscosity may be $25.

Just stop m8. ACDelco, has always been own by GM.

Just stop.
>>
>>13840766
GM doesn't make oil filters, bruh.
They subcontract that work to Champion, which is owned by Fram.

This is how industry works.
Or did you think Mexicans dressed like Oompa Loompas assemble oil filters just before slapping them onto the GM motors they assemble?
>>
>>13840833
Negro. Acdelo IS a parts company and they are owned by GM. They MAKE parts. Why would a parts company subcontract another company, a competing company at that, to make parts? How fucking stupid are you m8?
>>
>>13840858
http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2242392

Here is your proof, senpai. Ac delco is made by Champion, which is owned by Fram.
I also learned that the ac delco has a new shit tier core that had a tendency of the media being btfo... so I'd stop using that junk, tbqh fem.
Why the fuck would you buy Mobil 1 and use a trash tier filter?
>>
So it's $38 dollars for 6 quarts and one filter?
Pretty good.

Ok, after a very quick bit of googling champion only makes the E-core filters under the ACDelco name and a few other brands. ACDelco is still a GM company, m8.
>>
>>13840890
are the headstuds sold under various brand names?

Holy shit dude, I just found out that your ac delco got even shittier after Fram started making them. They are now even shittier than Fram OCOD, with cardboard endcap and PLASTIC "ecore".

Your filter isn't even metal inside, it's fucking plastic that can btfo and send bits into your valves.
>>
>>13840886
Six quarts and 2 filters.
>>
>>13840897
I never said ac delco wasn't a GM company, muh nignog.
But their branded filters are made by Champion, which is owned by Fram.

AC delco filters are made by fram, just rebranded.

Not really that great of a deal. O'Reilly has 5qts Penzoil Platinum Full Synthetic oil for sale with a wix filter for $23after rebate, another quart is $10 a quart and that's $33
>>
>>13842308
No, I wish. I cakked them and the chick couldn't find the filters in their inventory.

I imagine they ship from the manufacturer, or perhaps a few Costcos ha e them, or their distribution hub.
>>
>>13842320
Is this stuff any good? I used to use Penzoil dino juice in the yellow bottle. Saw that this stuff is from natural gas. Been thinking of trying it out. Guess if it was total shit it wouldnt be on the shelf anymore. Maybe next oil change.
>>
>>13842320
Pennzoil isn't as good, and the local stores don't carry 0w-40... which is Mobil 1's best oil.

I am trying it as an alternative to Red Line 5w-30 for the winter. May try Red Line 0w-30 next. But I want to see what this Mobil runs like in my Z, because I shop at Costco on the regs.
>>
>>13842320
Pennzoil is $23 at Wally erryday, they also don't sell 0w-40.
Wix isn't a premium filter, it is mid tier at best.
Comparing a package deal of 2 $13 filters and six quarts of Mobil 1 to the Pennzoil Ultra is apples and oranges.
>>
>>13842535
>hating on Wix

come on anon.
>>
>>13840445

>>
>>13842654

>>
>>13842676
Not that anon. I use Mobil myself. Supposedly over the past few years they have had an increase in iron content in their oils which can cause premature wear.
>>
>>13842676
google it. its gets so much flak from everyone. even if its not true, i wouldnt use it.

Rotella T6 for all my cars. Just bought a gallon for $11.99.

Thank you based walmart in bumfucktown USA.
>>
>>13842638
Wix isn't a particularity good filter when compared to others out there, especially at the price. I don't hate on them, but they are overrated since they were the go-to alternative for Fram OCOD back in the olden times.

There are much better filters out there.

http://www.tiger-explorer.com/index.php?topic=10005.0
>>
>>13842694
The Rotella is meme oil, and bitog has showed evidence that it is trash, the synthetic specifically.
>>
>>13842699
wix are the best
>>
>>13842730
Nope.
Did you even glance at the link, or any filter comparison in the last 20 years?

Wix is middle tier, their bypass valves suck and the extra space required means smaller filtration area, and their pleb tier paper media filters about as well as a orange Fram... except the Fram has more surface area and probably filters better as long as it doesn't implode.
>>
>>13842694
I've been using Rotella T6 in my Miata but I've heard from people who autocross that M1 0w-40 is really good.
>>
>>13842694
Ferrari and Porsche both use this 0w-40
>>
>>13840445
Anybody know what Mobil 1 filter for 2007 335i
>>
>>13842784
doesnt look like they make one for your car.
>>
>>13842487
I used it in my last oil change. I don't really know how you are supposed to say one oil is good and the other is bad.

>>13842501
>>13842535
Penzoil Platinum is supposed to be an oil made from a completely different source than the rest of their line. Made from natural gas, not from the ground apparently.
>>
>>13840445
>thinking oil brand matters

You guys are dumber than I thought.
>>
>>13842694
Mobil one is know to cause problems in LSX engines. My DD has a cammed LS3, no cats.

I run rotella T6 and Blackstone oil labs has given me the green light to keep using it. I change it very often, 3-4k. But oil is cheap insurance when running high spring pressure.
>>
>>13842898
>being this ignorant in the information age
Every manufacturer uses their own additives. Ever viscosity from every manufacturer has different properties and will shear under different circumstances.

Group III, IV, and V oils all have different properties.
>>
>>13842898
Hate to be the person who buys your used shit car.
>>
>>13842809
Thanks, no matter I'll just get some filters for the TA.
>>
>>13843029
Wally may be a better deal for you then, the real value comes in the form of filters.

Last month the deal was $10 off the case of M1, making it $27.99 for 6qts.

You could always use filters on snother vehicle, or sell them.
Price is close to Wally though, without the filters taken into consideration, and you don't have to support welfare queen Walmart paying $9 an hour and directing people to federal welfare programs to subsidize Walmarts profit margin.
Costco pays an average of $20+ an hour, because Costco loves America.

>>13842946

>>
>>13843168

>>
