is it good or is it awfully bad?

It's alright. The engine is good. The steering and chassis has become numb to cater to the Chinese people who buy it for brand name, but want a more luxurious ride. Better options (even than the 340i) are the XE, C450, ATS, or IS350. I've personally driven the 335i, IS350, and ATS. From my experiences and reviews/comparisons, it's pretty clear that all 4 of these are better driving cars than the 3 series now.
>>
>>13839455
what do you say about the 320d? the middleclass wagon
>>
>>13839440
I like the the looks of it more than f01/2. Im not sure if this is BMW thing, or just one car, since i only driven one BMW 7 series, but its way to hard for luxury car. Even older w220 was way smoother on same road than 2012 bmw7.
>>
>>13839465
Personally, if I'm going for a luxury brand, I'm not going to buy the base model. Otherwise, you might as well just buy a specced out Mazda. If you're going with the 3 series, get a 335i.

>>13839497
will think about it but i was favouring the 320d because it's a diesel and a sedan. i really am looking for a daily that i can have trust in and doesn't break after 30.000 km

Shit, except the 335i which still has the N55B30 from the e90s.
Designwise, they are pretty neat looking I especially digging volks on these things.
>>
>>13839440
It's the only sedan that still has windows that are capable of seeing out of.

I hate modern BMW with a passion, but they are most definitely doing that right.

At this point it's just fucking sad.

I can't even tell anymore if OP is a 5 or 3 series.

Everything looks the fucking same and is dull as fuck.

I find that most of the sedans in that segment have good sized windows.

>>13839540
Ahh okay. I'm not sure about the reliability because nobody really has them here in Canada. I'm also unsure about how they drive. I highly doubt they'd be as engaging as the 335i though.

>>13839795
Even the new 340i looks the same. They just tweaked the angel eyes a bit.

>340i

so what's actually under the hood this time? a 1.8l inline 4? lel

The 340i has an inline 6 turbo like the 335i which produces 320 HP and 330 lb-ft at peak, although Motor Trend tested it and it did 0-60 in 5.1 seconds, which is slower than the 335i.
>>
>>13840046
Also according to Motor Trend, it's still "numb and disconnected".

In NY, BMW's are leased by old people and by Daddy for his little girl. It's fucking pathetic to see them like cockroaches in their white BMWs all over the place.
>>
>>13840364
In Toronto, Asian people lease BMWs, specifically white exterior with red interior.
