The street car choices are too few in rFactor. There is like the nsx, the supra and a bunch of low hp meh cars.

Just got a g27, and I think im having trouble configuring it. Seems like unless i turn down the turning radius to about 865 degrees which seems a bit unrealistic, but if I turn it up at all i have to crank the wheel way too far to make even gentle turns. Also im just generally having trouble controlling anything. Do I just suck or am I missing something?

There is no music, as the game read it off the CD. I will try and find a complete ISO, though I hear that aside from the opening track by Barry Leitch, the Boss Rally OST is weak.

Except it does. I had unplayable FPS with 5 cars on the track, even with 1 I couldn't play the game. It's not friendly towards older computers at all unlike rFactor 1.

AC was also supposed to run on DX 10.1 and that pretty much doesn't work.

True, it really depends on the implementaton in the game, though. Some do the right thing and try to lock your 900+ wheel to the car you drive, and some just go "fuck it" and map the 300 degrees steering of the formula car to the full range of your wheel and make you go "wtf this thing doesn't turn". It's 2015, a "newer" computer isn't from 2010, it isnt from 2007 and certainly not 2005

Mine is built in 2013, pretty much exactly 2 years old now, running an intel i5 3570K, 8GB RAM and a Sapphire HD7870 - hardly a top of the line machine

And I ran our San Francisco race with 20 cars at never below 70FPS, most times racing in rFactor high above 120

There is plenty of interest here in using rFactor2, look at the casual running of EGT, BTCC, Celica GTO and so on.
You can all jerk around as you like over valrys being mad, but to be honest I understand that he's had enough (even if some decisions haven't been the best), because it's a lot of work running a series and having to listen to the crap going on about it

Are we going to enforce some kind of tire rule for the touge series? Like, modify all the cars to use street tires, because Marko's civic is going to rape us even if it uses the hard compound, with the tires being slicks after all.
I'm not saying this because I drive a sub 200hp car, but since we are racing street cars on mountains, it would make sense to use street tires. Or at least semi-slicks, since the GTR boat stiguy is going to drive, will die in every track except the the wide Haruna from grid.

I've been a fan of malagoli for a long time, so drove all his cars, and I can say the group A civic is on rails and has god tier brakes. But then again, I don't know what to expect from Marko. If you're going to run a series for /ovg/ you can either pander to the thread/mumble or just set everything out and ignore them. One thing you have to do however is make sure all your tracks, cars and whatever else are all tested and work well because broken shit has been the root cause behind 4 separate series hosters sperging out and "leaving".

Reason I greentexted Jacarepagua is because it doesn't exist anymore, and running it in a series with current/modern circuits feels weird.

I'm not too much of a fan of Abu Dhabi but I haven't tested the cars with that circuit, so I can't make a full judgement other than what I see on TV, so pardon my memeing for that one.

Take a look at what cars come at 450 PP stock. A few of them would be more at home on RH. This is why the initial 500 PP, CS formula was miserable. There's only one FF car above that and it's a pitiable failure of a car.

Maybe I don't know how to tune an AE86 but no matter what I do it always tries to slip its tail and drift, it handles horrible no matter what and I've even used apparently the best tune from GTPlanet. But I don't have problems with tuning other cars (except for that Audi Avant), I almost never experience oversteer in my NSX, untouched weight distribution, same thing with RUF RGT too.
Fuck old cars with retarded distributions like AE86's 58:42.
