If you would get a Japanese car from the mid 80's to the mid 90's what would it be?
>>13838529
Suzuki Swift or its derivatives(Geo Metro, Pontiac Firefly,..) with the 1.3 liter or 1.5 liter engine
>Swift is love
>Swift is live
I've always wanted an LS 400. They just seem to be pretty rare here in Yurop at least in good condition and at a right price.
>>13838529
89 Toyota Camry it was my first car had close to 300,000 miles on it when I sold it Bitch was indestructible
Engine was still strong when I sold it
I miss that car
>>13838577
Heh, my brother still has the '91 Camry he got when he first started driving. It has 480 000 km on it and still no problems with the mechanics. Just catalyzer problems and rust because there is so much road salt here. It's a great car, very spacious too for its outside dimensions unlike modern cars.
FD... I love the looks of them, and they are beyond rare where I live
>clean
>stock
>impossibru
>>13838704
Its the americans ruining the dream, prices went up as soon as they could import them. Now all us canadians are getting r33's and r34's.

My mom had an adorable baby blue 80s Swift (glx I think) when I grew up, it even had electric powered windows.
>you didnt do this
baka desu senpai
Pretty content with this since I've only seen one around my area
1st gen avalon
NSX would be on the top of the list.
>>13838988
Is that the MX3?
Bone stock 1990 civic SiR. In white or possibly with the extra red trim stuff? I'm not sure if that was part of the SiR package or not.
NSX Type R Zero by a long shot. Then an AZ1, then FD, Then R33 GTR. If it was a different year set, itd be a totally different list.
>>13839079
Yep the tiny v6
>>13838923
>this
so hard to find a clean one though nowadays
>>13839145
do want
>tfw there's one exactly like this for sale in my country for €1250
>>13838529
Corolla obviously
>>13838529
>what would it be
Not that shit or anything from toyota really
>>13838529
>the club on the steering wheel
the delusion is real!!!
>>13839222
>tfw my stock 95 Civic hatch was stolen while I was at school
Been nearly a week without word, took me 2 years to find it. Stock everything, 180k on the original motor, working AC and heater, no paint defects
;_;
>>13839292
Are you retarded? Old cars without these modern anti theft systems get stolen all the time. My old beat to shit camry got stolen by some junkie and he ended up crashing around the city with it.
>>13839311
>old beat to shit camry
oh no not your old beat to shit camry the stakes are too high what loss cry x3
>>13839315
It is if you are going to drive to work and you see your car is gone that morning, dipshit.
>>13838919
DAMN RIGHT.
>>13839327
>works, presumably for money
>drives a shitbox camry
its not adding up retard
>>13839341
>implying he wasn't saving up for something nicer
>>13839331
>piggu fatturu can'tara turnuru
>>13839341
Big news: People have beater cars to avoid damage and wear to their other cars, some people don't spend a lot of money on cars and only want pure utility, some people don't go 20 000 bucks into debt to buy a car that is going to be a shitbox with aftermarket tuning parts in a couple of years.
>>13839222
>>13839222
One of my buddies had one of these, bought it off an old man bone stock for $700. Totaled it a few months later kek
>>13839358
Even bigger news: pretentious faggots put the club on the steering wheels of deplorable garbage because they're scares someone wants to steal it or they live in a drug niggertown because they are drug niggers
RS Turbo
>>13839369
lel so it's pretentious to keep your car that you need from getting stolen. OK
>>13839356
nice meme
but they handle pretty good
>>13839378
>be me
>be living in 5th largest city in north america
>be driving for 23 years
>own everything from shitboxes to nice cars
>never once used a the club
>never once had car stolen
jesus what am I doing wrong?
>>13839356
Nice parroting.
So many choices, but if I could only have one I would be stupid not to get an Rx7 FD3S. I would give reasons why, but there is really nothing that hasn't been said about it.
Other cars I would want, NSX, R32 GTR, Celica GT4, Rx7 FC, Z32 TT, Z31, Silvia S13, Silvia S12 RSX, 323 GTX, 20B Cosmo, ABC Kei cars, and an SW20 turbo. FD is the best of all those, but I would love to own any of them. Fortunately most of those are pretty cheap, so I can buy them right now.
>>13839373
mein nigga
>>13839388
No wrong or right in that. A club is the same as getting fire insurance. You don't need it until there is a fire or in this case someone is looking for a car to steal.
They see the club and then just move on to the next car because there is more hassle.
>>13838529
Suzuki Cappuccino, so badly.
>>13839299
Greentext please? Sounds like an interesting story.
late 1980s Toyota hilux. just add an old DShK and i am ready for Syria
On topic of old cars, what are the best ways to keep it from being stolen? Add a hidden kill-switch? Remove fuse from fuse box?
One pretty good way to make it look like it just doesn't start is to remove the power to the ECU, all lights will light up, except the CEL and obviously the car won't start.
Any other tricks?

Don't live in a place filled with degenerates

probably:
>rx-7 FD3S
sexiest looking car ever made imo.
>KP60 Starlet
pic related... they're pretty much rwd hatch like a lot some others 80s hatches. i just like the look of the kp60 though. i'd get it with a 20v 4age or 3sgte.
kp60 will be what i'll buy and start building as soon as i get a job and money.. hopefully still some decent ones around with non-fucked chassis from drifters/rallyers
>>13839222
i saw a shell (4th gen) for sale, alright condition for 500 aus dollars. the motor or somethings probably fucked but the actually car looked like it was still alright.... still never know without looking in person
sucks because i have no money and sit on computer browsing videos of civics and other cars, wishing i could own one. i just like fast hatchbacks, or cars with short wheelbase and not too wide doesn't matter if fwd, awd or rwd.
4th gen civic is one hatch i want to build to though.
