4 grand tops. I'm going to school to be a technician so a project doesn't bother me. I fully restored a 66 mustang before but had to sell because that thing was an insane money pit.

Lotsa under hood space and decently reliable if you are comparing it to a Z32. Anyways, I'd take an S130 over anything else old.

you can get an ok one with high miles for that price, like other people have said it has potential if you get the 350, and if you get an 89 you can even get the t-tops with the 350

You can definitely argue there's more to be desired at the top end with the TPI engines, but to call them gutless is dishonest.

Turd gens are some of the FASTEST cars of the 80's, with their typical hp rating being around 200hp and a 15 second 1/4 mile time. Most people also only look at the horsepower rating, even the weakest V8 you could get in a turd gen had 145hp and 240ft-lbs of torque, and easily 30 more hp just from cutting out the terrible pellet-type cat.
