Lets bring this shit back to life. Show me your 100+HP/L engines
>>13824114
>>13824178
Is this shit true to real life?
>>13824739
Close enough breh
>>13824739
not really. it used to be alot more accurate but they then dumbed it down.
pic semi related JDM AS FUCK BRAH
been awhile since I fired this up
There's a disturbing lack of torks ITT
what's the site called?
>172hp
>From a little 687cc I4
>Revs to 12k so you are always in the boost while going fast
>Almost 15psi of boost
NA makes about 90hp and gets much better mileage but I thought this was a neat little engine.
>>13827382
If only they let you make motorcycles
>>13827428
I just want superchargers. The turbo lag is stupid to work around, not to mention I hate that whistle. Nothing compares to that beautiful whine complementing the roar of a V8
probably the best car i ever made.
>>13827458
they plan to add them, but last i saw they were working on other things.
im still salty they dumbed everything down though.
>not reliably making 317hp/l
>not designing small, cheap, efficient engines
>what is realism
>>13827365
The game is called Automation, hence "Automation thread"
>>13827483
>$21k
Nigga you need to make some cuts to make that even affordable
>>13827517
I didn't even notice they dumbed anything down. Last time I checked they were redoing some calculations to make it more accurate?
>>13827525
My 3800 is bretty gud. Gets decent mileage for a V6, makes alright power and is pretty reliable for pushrods. Wish it was a little cheaper but whatevs
>>13827525
I thought my engine was good. But this is impressive.
>>13827635
>mfw 519 production units
>>13827774
I'm still learning that stuff. A random number doesn't really mean anything. I guess the new update will sort some of it out to make it a little more understandable
who /tripledigitempeegee/ here?
WHEN WILL THEY FINALLY COME TOGETHER WITH THE BEAMNG GUYS.
I FUCKING WANT TO DRIVE MY AUTOMATION SHIT IN BEAMNG DRIVE.
>>13827891
Best I could do
>>13824114
>being taxed per liter
I suggest moving to the US.
>>13827635
It's basically an Audi rs6 avant. Those things are not cheap irl either.
Regarding the dumbing down, they removed a lot of camshaft options, it's also when they scraped the advanced intake model they were working on
>>13827525
Best engine in thread. Would contract.
>>13828523
>can't have small trucks
>can't have diesel
>no sharp edges
>small cars are shit
>can't import privately
>CAFE
>EPA
>>13824114
Aight.
>>13824114
FUCK YES
>>13827525
>what is realism
there are more than shitboxes in the real world
>>13831178
Lol even with turbos you didn't make as much power as >>13824269
>>13824114
Anybody have any challenges?
>>13832450
/o/ Automation challenge when?
>>13832450
kinda surprised there hasnt been some racing shit with all the benchracing that goes on this site
theres even some endurance racing spreadsheet on their forums
europeans cannot into torque
>>13831162
There's your small truck.
>>13832641
We were going by lap time a few months ago. I was in the lead for a while.
>>13832727
all I remember was people trying to break the 2 minute barrier on the test track but that was over a year ago I think
whats the time to beat now?
>>13832788
>whats the time to beat now?
Under 3:16 at LeMans
>>13833002
That's not far off from where I was to start with. Need to add LeMans again and see if I can beat it.
>>13833054
Have fun.
Last time I checked, my 3:15.74 from the landbarge was the time to beat.
>>13833002
how the fuck
even my retard tier 280mph supercar only does 4:00
>>13832788
I beat 2 minutes about a few days after that thread
>>13833120
One of mine did 3:21...
>>13833212
which Le Sarthe are you people using
I have like 3 of them
>>13824114
Turbo 5 litre inline 4.
917 ft-lb of torque
901 bhp (180hp/l)
>>13831162
There are loads of small trucks.
2.03m
2.16m
2.35m
2.37m
also if you mess with the morphs you can make one of the smaller trucks have a stupidly tiny bed.
>>13833120
Power is everything.
LeMans is dominated by straights. Best car for this track is the car that you can fit the biggest engine into.
>>13833339
Pre-kink.
Finally beat it.
I assume this is the new /o/ record?
>>13836481
Haven't used Automation for a while, this is looking pretty good
>>13836624
V12s soon.
They can go up to 14 liters.
Which is gonna be the next engine in this car and is gonna let me break the 3 minute barrier.
>>13832727
>2622 HP@7000rpm
>>13832727
Post turbo setup so I can steal for rasekar.
I'm only pushing 2300.
>>13836575
>3:13.26
That's fucking fast.
>>13836646
>>13836684
I made some improvements...
And it still fits in the truck.
>>13836935
Alright, I think I'm done.
>>13836935
It looks like boost drops off at 5800 RPM, do things explode past that or is it not possible to make more boost?
>>13837105
Nothing I can do for more boost. Even if I did manage to get more boost I'd have to drop the rpm limit. It's set at 7600 right now and it's borderline on both rpm and torque limits for the bottom end.
Automation challenge
Having joined a manufacturing team your job is to build the ultimate car for the poor automotive enthusiast of a japanese bulletin board.
Design and build a car for the highest Fun (budget) class built in 1990
my shitbox related sporting a 3.0 litre twin turbo V6.
23.9% Affordability
35.0 competitiveness
Desirability 383
Im certainly doing something wrong because my best category is actually pony cars.
its almost one of the best cars in the pony car class, i think the engine is too expensive for the budget class.
>>13837610
>Im certainly doing something wrong because my best category is actually pony cars
>3.0 litre twin turbo V6
I guess I found you problem old sport.
>>13837700
It's an '88 model because I've been trying to recreate how the tycoon would play and in the sandbox the EFI appears in '88 you the line-up was revamped, although this one still uses webbers.
>>13837705
any other category you want to see? I've cars made all the way from 40 to 92.
I'm currently stuck about what to do in after the 92 revamp because after MFI in 92 there is no tech that can really chance the consumer market that much apart from changing trims to be more modern.
>>13837700
ifigured that would be relatively cheap, but you cant get single turbos on a V.
so working on an inline 4 at the moment
>>13837712
if you like in classes via list not just in grid view it also shows you the top car of that class. do you have any "best in class" cars?
>>13837718
>do you have any "best in class" cars?
Alot.
Right in '92 I have the Cabra which wins several classes.
>>13837735
Also some bodies weren't vanilla by the time the guys made the competitor pack so some bodies give easy class wins. More on the earlier years.
>>13837738
ded thred is ded
>>13836481
well that explains it
I was using the chicane one
>>13837610
noice
>>13841104
eh i got it to 3:22 but now the game crashes when I run it
was full retard
>>13837610
so heres my attempt at this
69.1 competitiveness
31.7 affordability
2378 desirability
also highest ranked in pony despite being a fwd 1.4 liter 4 cylinder
still more in it but I like how it is
Made a shitbox to out-shit all other boxes.
>>13833532
>peaky af power
>throttle response 80
Fuck that
>no supers
>no rotaries
>no twin turbos
>no singles / V4s / i5s
Shit/10
>>13827522
>0 boost until 5250 rpm
Why do you guys even build these unusable shits?
>>13843991
peaky? shes pretty smooth over 3k RPM once you get over Mt.Spool.
>>13844083
because dyno queens.
why dont you suggest a challenge? size/config limits? induction limits?
maybe the goal is "most RPM spent above 300bhp" or something. with a 3.0L engine capacity.
i dunno think of a challenge that suits longer lasting less peaky engines.
>>13844002
have you even played the game all there is are twin turbos
all the stuff you want is retarded since theyre not common but they might come after they rebalance the entire engine system
>>13844099
i had a competition with some friends racing cars with 85bhp maximum i came up with something similar to this. the idea was to provide the bhp limit for as much of the rev-range as possible.
>>13844122
I feel like that would be horrible to drive
