The rockers allow me to raise the rpm limit by 700 versus the stock tune. It does have stock heads but they are ported and polished. the free-er flowing intake, manifold, and exhaust, and injectors all allow for a more aggressive tune, so they are also power adders no matter what nonsense /o/ has told you.

Here's the heads from when I was having them shaved, valve job done, and fitted for bigger valves. Everything has been reworked, and the compression bumped way up. Shorter rear gears, custom gear transmission, aluminum drive shaft, aluminum flywheel, dual something or other clutch. Big cam, big injectors, high volume fuel and oil pumps. I don't know, lots of shit is done to it, and I know from real life experience that it's faster than c6/7 vettes. Both on the track, and the strip.

You say that but, in my (limited) experience, while driver skill matters a great deal, the actual time difference it amounts to isn't as big as you might think. At the standard karting test day I've been to, the difference between the guys who have literally just started and the guys who have been at it since they were 7 is, what, somewhere around 25%. When you factor in that the average track day amateur has at least some experience (and experience has a diminishing return anyway - you can knock a great deal of time off just by having a basic clue), it's fair to say that the differential could be overcome easily enough just by having something fast enough.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you, what you really gain by getting gud is racecraft, and while I'm sure you have the skill just to never give the casuals a chance to pass you, on a non-competitive trackday that would just be being a douche.

Definitely dont own the fastest car around the track here but in a straight line possibly. Owner of an fg xr6 turbo running low 9s on a mild tune due to a stock bottom end. Capable of roughly 850hp but haven't had it down the quarter with that tune yet just in case anything blows up but we should be seeing mid 8s early next year. They handle great, they were just hamstrung by low power motors in the early days (though that didn't keep their better brakes, grip, and handling from letting them shreck the 930s).

i used to own an ariel atom but since i'm in my late 20s now i kinda got sick of this go kart shit and sold it.
really fun if you're on a track, but otherwise it's just stiff as fuck, did a 100 km journey on back roads and i couldn't fucking enjoy shit since my back was killing me.
i'm not a BMW fan at all but sadly the truth is that a 320d (for the torque) is all the car any enthusiast will need. If you're going on a track, you can just rent even a fucking GT3 or a Ferrari and have your way with it without worrying too much.
I do recommend at least going to the The Ring and taking a GT86 for a spin on the track, it was great fun.
