need to get a new car. planning on getting a used hybrid hatchback. So that I have money to spend on things like firearms and motorcycle.
Choice is between Insight and Prius. The Prius is faster, more economical, and larger on the inside. The Insight can actually be found for a decent price and mileage combinations. Otherwise they are both reliable boring appliances.

used battery cells. get the old multimeter out and test the cells. change out the bad ones for good used ones.
Though even first gen(well really second gen, but first in america) Prius have battery packs in good condition still.

I would drive the fuck out of a manual first-gen insight.

Not OP, but I've really considered getting a CRZ as a DD.
It seems like the perfect for me because

Anybody here own one? Had experience? They all seem to be selling at low miles and super cheap in my area and I wonder if something is wrong with them

i can attest those early civics are not at all sporty.
drove quite a few. they all have some angry sensation of speed going on, but sporty no not at all. actually kinda numb. maybe your definition of sporty is light and agilent? mine is responsive and full of feedback, especially steering, which civics of that era are not.
