In the end it's a FWD heavy car from the 80s and not worth much.

Yeah, my friend bought one for $1k two states away. It had engine knock, dropped the price down, made it home 600 miles. Went to a junkyard half off day, picked up a new block for $150, spent another $300 on gaskets, and such, got it running again. Good cars
