You got me there
>>13603669
Yeah. But anyway, if you can afford the insurance and all the potential things that can go wrong with owning a 28 year old car, I don't see why not.
That is also if you don't mind owning the slower pre-90s ones.
I would do something else with that amount of money.

Probably something like this. Way more performance.
Isn't that the corvette with the distributor under the water pump and the main wiring harness under the battery?
>>13603669
Dude make sure you fit, if your above 6ft you need to make sure you can even get your head in.
>>13603679
These are fun, plastic interior but the handling makes up for it in my book
if you're going to spend 7500 dollars anon get yourself one of these.
if you want to drive around a slow, old sports car at least drive one with a good brand and a nice interior/build quality.
also the kids @ school will be super jealous of you so thats fun.
>>13606589
Or a 90's 300zx. Equally cool and attention grabbing.

he does actually want to drive it for a short distnace before it blows up
Stock 80's American cars are fucking slow. Don't expect anything amazing. This is coming from someone who is fixing a 5.7 1987 firebird. But they're extremely easy to work on and parts are usually easy to come by. I wouldn't spend 7.5k on that especially as a first car.

can....can you not read english?
>>13606832
NOT OP, but I'm extremely interested in something like this. How many miles? What kinda gas mileage. Does it have coolant issues?
If it's your first car you may want to avoid something that may turn into a project car.
If you have a backup means of transport then go for it, but if you need something reliable I'd be more leery.

It's hard as fuck to find a non molested GM twin and not rusted to hell. I gave up looking for a fox body a long time ago. It gets about 14-18mpg or less depending if I baby it or go full potato. No coolant issue as far I've seen after 6 months of driving it. I got it @ 68k miles and put on 4k just dicking around and driving it to the gym on Sundays. It's a lot of fun especially if you like the 80's cars
>>13606826
thats a porsche 944. the non turbo editions are very reliable. especially if you've got 7500 bucks to spend.

>>13603679
this is a good option, even better if you can find 07 plus for the vq35hr

While the turbo 944 is my favorite Porsche
If you can only spend 7,500 dollarydoos on a car, because that's how high your budget goes. Then for the love of God don't buy a 944, you buy a 944 if it's like the dream car for you and you've got deep enough pockets to deal with possible maintenance issues.
But god damn that car in your pic is gorgeous
>>13606805
Meh. I drive a 90's 300zx. I rarely grab people's attention... unless I take the t-tops off. For whatever reason, taken off the t-tops automatically makes it 100 times cooler to other people. I have no idea why.
Z32 seems like a solid recommendation. $7500 can get you a nice twin turbo, or one of the nicest, cleanest non-turbos in the country.

944 looks way better than any FC
I owned a L98 6spd and Z32 N/A. Personally I liked the C4 better. It handled better and I could run quicker times on the autocross. The L98 doesn't make much stock, but its a small block Chevy. Its not like there isn't a huge cheap aftermarket for those engines.
>>13606894
Can't find an 07 for 7500 they go for 13 grand minimum
>>13603736
Nah, that's the LT1 which came out a little later, early 90s.
This has the L98 in it, pretty much the last of the true SBCs.
