What do you have for front brakes?

I'm waiting on a good deal for some Supra TT rear brakes to match my fronts
>>
>>11427459

i follow you on instagram lol

I plan on doing the same to this fuckin turd
>>
>>11427500
why dont you go to a scrap yard and just pick up a whole disc brake rear end? swap the fucker in.

hell, i have 2 z28 rear ends both disc, id sell you one
>>
>>11427500

God damn anon could you back it up any further I think a fly could still get through that gap you left between the rear bumper and those stairs.
>>
>>11427500

>best camaro bodystyle
>turd
>>
>>11427495
Yeah, 4040 prop valve and a 15/16 master CYL to compliment the rear discs
>>
>>11427500

Are you going aftermarket? The stock disc setup sucks. If you can't afford aftermarket you could go with Cadillac calipers on the rear like I have. It's a common budget setup
>>
>>11427519
Very nice. I always loved EF body civic/crx's.

Most of them have no options and they're light as all fuck. Manual steering, no ac/abs/cruise? no problem! Only problem living up in Canada is, they rot away.

A lot of my learning on manual was done in a 5 speed CRX. too bad it rotted away and my buddy sold it.

Have a rear end from a 2000 ss. Have the brake parts too.

Just too lazy/broke to buy gears for it and put it in.

#WV pride

if you want a "classic" sports car go all out on a corvette or stick with the mustang

stock camaros looked generic as fuck until it got good in the 80s and 90s
>>
>>11427490
Nice sounds like a great plan
Car should stop on a dime
>>
>>11427391
Lucky. In order for me to swap to rear disc brakes, I have to change the entire rear axle. -_-
>>
Ups just dropped off my master CYL. Should start disassembly in a few hours
>>
>>11428103See, you made a few very severe mistakes. First you bought a honda, then you wasted money on "racing gear", then you put your pointless iphone in your car for no reason. THENj you tried to race an economy honda around a track instead of slowly taking it to the grocery store. Then you forgot to kill yourself. Real smart move waving at someone you overtook by the way. Taking your hand off the steering wheel while flooring your gerbil mobile. Your shit ass car can't even get up to 100 mph without going down hill. You are the dumbest person in the world. Why would you take your stock piece of shit and pretend to race it?

The rear brakes on my '84 are gigged so I'm doing the LS1 plate swap. Found a '99 with the axle shafts already out at the junkyard, I was so fucking happy. 8 bolts and I was home free.

Can't wait to get started, now I just need rotors, pads, prop valve and M/C. Took me forever to find a 2wd S10 disc brake backing plate

>>
>>11432670

no just seems like a waste of time to swap from shitty drums to shitty discs.

>>

dat 6ul bf rival combo
>>
>>11433001
I enjoy grip and unsprung weight :^)

Also the 6UL's looks amazing and I would probably use them even if they weighed 20lb a piece and not 11
>>
>>11432637
They're perfectly adequate for the rear wheels on a fucking 2,000lb honda civic, you nutter..
>>
>>11433942

Floating calipers versus fixed calipers has nothing to do with vehicle weight or drive orientation. A proper fixed setup is always better. A floating setup is budget oem junk.
>>
>>11434015
Oh shut the fuck up and take your head out of your arse for one moment please, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about.
>>
>>11434015
>hurr proper setup
>hurr oem junk
IT IS A FUCKING HONDA CIVIC
>>
Nice job OP, I love ef civics. I miss my old manual 91 wagovan. We should run so I can smoke the fuck out of you with my bb1 'lude.
>>
>>11434076

There's not even an argument though. Fixed is better than floating.
>>
>>11434097
What you don't seem to realize is that it doesn't matter and the benefits are pissant shit, why even bother investing the extra money on a slow old shitbox? You are an incredibly dense benchracer.
>>
>>11434097
>muh better brakes
IT IS A FUCKING HONDA CIVIC
>>
>>11434107
>>11434111
/o/ logic brah
> hurrdurr it's funner to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow
>>
>>11434092
That shit's gonna have nothing on my 86' Corolla LE on the touge
>>
>>11434107
>>11434111

I'll give up but only if you admit that fixed calipers are better than floating calipers.
>>
>>11434137
nobody is saying they aren't better you idiot

they're saying that it's not worth it
>>
>>11434137
Holy shit are you illiterate?
Go kill yourself.
>>
Was reading this and thought it would be a good idea to convert my sister's car to 4 wheel disks. Well, this happened in the morning.
>>
>>11434154
The only reason to convert to 4-wheel discs is increased performance, pointless on some teenage girl's commuter shitbox. They wouldn't have stopped her from rear-ending someone while checking facebook.
>>
>>11434142

Okay. I can handle that. I give up. Fixed calipers are better but when you drive a shitbox maybe not worth the cost over floating since you're poor and drive a shitbox.
>>
>>11434167
Tard in an SUV clipped her when he switched lane without looking, pushing her into guardrail.
>>
>>11428786
Muh nigga. I have a bluepoint cordless LED drop light. Took it with me with my kids to go trick or treating on Halloween.

People were blown away how bright the lil thing is

All of this butthurt about brakes. I didn't even upgrade because of stopping power, I just wanted less brake fade.
>>
>>11434911

>I didn't even upgrade because of stopping power, I just wanted less brake fade with tons of knock back from my shitty floating calipers.
>>
>>11434917
Exactly!
>>
>>11434968

i'm glad you see the errors of your ways.
>>
>>11434977
Do you criticize your bus driver for having air brakes?
>>
>>11434917
>I'll just keep tossing around my bullshit buzzwords and ignoring the fact that it's a fucking civic so there's no point in muh fancy modern brakes
>>
>>11435005

my guess is that most modern buses have fixed calipers since they have heavy duty full floating axles.
>>
>>11435019

best proof i could find to support my guess.
