What is the consensus about gary johnson?

better than killary and trumpernator?

https://www.johnsonweld.com/
>>
What is Aleppo?
>>
I voted for him. He's a weak leader honestly but I like his down to earth approach to governance.

If you lean left then vote Stein. Fuck the other two sleazy fucks.
>>
>>81700
This. Guy's actually got some governing experience and is okay with reaching across the isle. Plus I'm interested in seeing how congress will react to having a non-Republican/Democrat in office.
>>

/thread
>>
Imagine that one stoner who was wasted potentional in high school. Now imagine he straightened out later in life, but was still a dumbfuck stoner deep down, that's Gary Johnson. He means well, but he's still a burnout.
>>
Show me the proof trump is working for the same person hillary is. As long as he is not then im gonna vote for him. I would love to vote johnson but literally every normie i know is voting trump. I honesly dont know one clinton supporter irl and i work at a gas station i know a lot of people
>>
Also wikileaks has shown that hillary saw trump as an opponent she could beat which is why she let the normies learn about his campaign in the first place. As far as i can tell she never expected trump to gain so much momentum. I think he may not respect women properly but he does have integrity which is more than anyone could say about the clintons
>>
>>81711
There are plenty of reasons to vote Trump over Shilary, but don't even pretend for a fucking second that he has integrity. He's another globalist kikey billionaire, but he's the lesser of two evils.
>>
>>81713
Show me the proof. As far as i can tell hes a genuine capitalist which is acceptable we got by for 200 years on that. I want to know if he is working for big brother and i dont want your opinion
>>
>>81715
Alright before I go through the hassle of googling shit on a phone, tell me who you think big brother is. I need to know if you're too far down the rabbit hole to even be worth talking to. Either way though, we're still in agreement to vote Trump, no need to get defensive buddy.
>>
>>81717
I kinda leave that one open. Ive heard a lot of names rothchilds, soros, the masons, an elite group of jews. It doesnt really matter who it is as long as we know what they are doing
>>
>>81720
Knowing what they're doing can you do Jack shit about it?

No?

So it makes no difference if you know. Legit our tinfoil hat it makes no actual difference what you think you know because nothing you can do or say will ever affect anything.

SIeep tight pupper.
>>
>>81726
You clearly dont know about quantum mechanics or what cobciousness is. Also you can easily identify their puppets by what they do. If everyone would just start identifying puppets we could easily avoid this bullshit corruption
>>
>>81726
The problem is they go into quiet mode whenever too many people get wise and it becomes really difficult to identify puppets. I still dont think trump is a puppet though. They are trying way too hard to stop him. The illegal imigrant thing is really all thats throwing me off. I think it might be a legit issue
>>
This guy made an argument literally analogous to "Why brush your teeth when you're going to die anyway"?

What a joke.
>>
>>81700
I lean left and I'm still voting Gary. Half of Gary's supporters are liberals too, his stance on things like foreign policy and the drug war are more leftist. Jill can't appeal to conservatives at all, the Greens are a left-wing radical party that will never become mainstream and never have a hope of even getting the 5% threshold. Libertarians, especially under Gary, are moderate and balanced enough that they can grow into a legitimate party. Even if not the presidency they can land lower seats if they get enough attention and support this year. Plus Gary can get to 5%, which can get him (or another libertarian candidate) funding next time and force the two parties to actually fight for his voters. The hope is that if Gary does well enough, one of the parties will start too look at abolishing FPTP to court the anti-establishment vote

>>81681
>>81703
>What is climate change?
>What is the wage gap?
>What are wifi signals?
if an Aleppo gaffe is the worst thing you have on him he's still far more knowledgeable than the other three
>>
>>81707
Fair enough. I agree with that perspective
>>
>>81727
Explain to me what eigenstates are and what the schrodinger equation means
>>
>>81762
Aleppo is enough to make me not trust the guy.

I understand that this makes him appear more honest, something that most people wish there was more of in politics. Personally i would rather someone know what they're talking about than be well-meaning.
>>
>>81940
Okay so who are you voting for?
The woman who still claims that women earn 77% for the same job? The man who claims science isn't real? Or the crazy green lady who thinks wifi signals cause cancer or some bullshit?
In the grand scheme of things, Johnson's gaffe was just something that slipped his mind, it's not like an actual policy position that he's repeatedly doubled down on. Whereas Hillary has pushed the wage gap myth constantly and Trump has repeatedly stated he thinks science is a hoax. And his running mate wants creationism taught in public schools
>>
>>81762
>never have a hope of even getting the 5% threshold
not with *that* attitude, you weak-wristed pushover;
>>
Either way...I know what I'll be doing Christmas this year...

Seems to be using linear algebra to model the nature of reality? This would probably be necessary for simulating the quantum nature of he universe. However if you think about it a program already simulates the quantum nature of the universe. So we are probably in a program. Are you disagreeing with me? If so have fun in your material world madonna
>>
>>81951
So if god exists hes a programmer. Which would explain why he's so damn lazy
>>
>>81945
Greens don't deserve to win anything. They're fucking insane and refuse to compromise. Whereas Libertarians are becoming a lot more moderate and have a platform that appeals to the left and right. If we got rid of first past the post, Greens would still be a small irrelevant party of extremists. Libertarians would be competitive THIS election without it, and would certainly grow into an actual party in the future.
>>
>>81951
i was just checking that you don't understand quantum mechanics
>>
>>81672
>>>/pol/
>>
>>81961
>Whereas Libertarians are becoming a lot more moderate and have a platform that appeals to the left and right.
This. Having a moderate like Johnson will definitely attract people. Next its up for the libertarians to start getting Congressional spots and winning local elections. I doubt the more ardent libertarians will gain support immediately, but there are many like Johnson who will appeal to people on the left and right.
>>
>>81978
Are you saying i do or dont? Feel free to correct me. Its funny to me how prople can absorb this information and then retain their materialistic worldview. Maybe you need to be a computer scientist to put the pieces together idk
>>
>>82008
I'm saying that you don't know anything about quantum physics and should stop pretending to.

It's funny to me that people can read a few pop-sci articles and watch a few youtube videos and think they understand quantum mechanics and how it plays into consciousness.
>>
>>82017
The double slit experiment alone tells you what you need to know. Just because you drown the idea in complicated maths doesnt change anything
>>
>>82022
A lot of the things you've probably read are extremely over-simplified to make them more interesting. Taking them at face value would be like thinking you understand an entire article based on the title.

My dad once told me that "A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing". The older I grow, the more I see how true this statement is.
>>
>>82035
Ive come to my own conclusions. The way i understand it executing code is just like collaping the wave function. If you scale it up reality would be like a big crazy program. I will have to look into eigenstates and shrodingers stuff more thanks for the dangerous knowledge
>>
>>81954
A couple hundred years ago, they called him a watchmaker. This is hardly a new idea.
>>
>>82045
Executing code is not like a collapsing wave function. A wave function collapses when it is observed, and their is a probabilistic nature to it when we have different eigenstates. Not to mention it has real and imaginary parts. Whereas with code execution everything is defined. You can see exactly how code executes if you take a look into the CPU. You can explicitly track and predict every single signal in a CPU based on the instructions you are giving it.
>>
>>81762
Not being able to name a single world leader on the spot is pretty bad. Francois Hollande is literally named France Holland, it's the easiest name to remember.
>>
>>82061
>I believe everything /pol/ tells me about politics
that's not what happened. Nobody asked him to "name a single world leader" it was "name a world leader THAT YOU ADMIRE" and he was having a hard time remembering the former Mexican president's name (his running mate then helped him).
Maybe he doesn't admire France Holland or Justin Trudeau or Putin or Merkel or the other easy to remember names. He has a different political philosophy so it will be harder for him to come up with world leaders he admires

>>81999
I'm not a libertarian but I already early voted for Gary and another moderate libertarian on the ballot. The Libertarians have already gotten rid of a lot of their crazy, and even as they stand now I think are comparable to the two major parties in terms of how many retarded ideas they have. People forget how stupid some of the mainstream party views are, like the disastrous war on drugs or our fucked foreign policy. And as the Libertarian party grow they'll get even more moderate and get rid of the few fringe beliefs they still have.

This Trump/Hillary bullshit has shown us that we need a new party and we need to stop supporting first-past-the-post voting, and Libertarians are the best bet at this point
>>
He's a pathetic retard with the weakest "libertarian" facade he could possibly have
>>
>>81672
>>81672
>>81672
If you think that both Trump and Hillary are bad then you should still vote for either Trump or Hillary.
Based on the polls A Leppo has less than a 0.1% chance to win the election, you should only consider wasting your vote IF you think that both Trump and Clinton are EQUALLY bad. If you think that Trump is slightly better than Clinton for example then it's more productive to vote for Trump than for Gary.
Remember, these are elections. It's not a reality show, don't waste your vote EVEN if you think a third party candidate is the next coming of Jesus.
>>81762
>What is the wage gap?
There is 0 evidence that it exists, men and women get payed the same for the same job, women just choose to get a low paying job. In fact all the polls show that women are more satisfied with their current job, so it's not even a "women don't get promoted for no reason" thing
You see, when O'bama talks about the wage gap and women listen to him and agree with him a different thing happens. Both parties know that it's a lie, Obama just uses a PC way to tell them that he'll give free shit for women for the sole reason to gain their support, and women silently agree, again, pretending that the gap exists.
It's ironic that those women know that it's a myth, while you don't.
>What is climate change?
Trump doesn't deny climate change, he denies that it's caused by humans, his point is considered true by many, even scientists.
>What are wifi signals?
Only her relatives and neighbours would be voting for her
>>81941
>Trump has repeatedly stated he thinks science is a hoax
1) Strawman
2) You're really naive if you think scientists never fabricate their research for political agenda, there are 0 reasons to believe that the climate change is driven by humans
>>
>>82061
The question was a single world leader he admired.
>>
>>82045
I could come to my own conclusions about things i have no idea about too. That doesn't make my opinion worth anything.
>>
>>82085

>wage gap
While a good portion of the wage gap is as you say, there's still individual cases where there is legit sexism. Obviously these are case by case things, so I don't know what exactly legislation can do on this topic.

>climate change isn't done by humans
>therefore we should sit on our hands because it's not our fault
Ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising. Whether or not you believe humans were helping this along or literally have no ability to shape the planet (spoilers we've been able to shape rivers for thousands of years) we still need to take measures to avoid having our cities getting flooded and our crops drying out.

Trump does not have a good record on science:
>global warming is a hoax created by the Chinese
>this child got vaccinations and now has autism
He also has a loose association with the truth and tends to believe shit with minimal evidence.

>some scientist went looking for evidence to back up his beliefs
>therefore all scientists can't be trusted
This is why you always look at multiple science groups and sources, and on this topic there is wide consensus. I know this is the place where being contrarian and believing in conspiracy is the norm, but there's a certain point were we need to be able to trust science. Also "zero reasons," are you for real? We have been producing smog for over a century, at the very least that shit isn't good for our health.
>>
>>82085
>his point is considered true by many, even scientists.
His point is considered true by fucking retards. Very very few legitimate scientists think that. And for the record, no he doesn't even think non-anthropogenic global warming exists. He just thinks global warming is entirely not happening, whether caused by humans or God (which are the only two possible explanations left)
>there are 0 reasons to believe that the climate change is driven by humans
There are 0 reasons to believe you have spent even 5 minutes doing any actual, real research on climate change

>third party votes are a waste because they can't win THIS ELECTION
Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize that THIS ELECTION is the one and final election and that our country will never have any other election again for all eternity.
Who you vote for NOW affects how both parties behave in the FUTURE when they court your vote in future elections. Want parties to work to get rid of FPTP and give us a democracy? Don't support them until they do. Want the GOP to stop supporting bigotry but also want the Dems to cut out the SJW bullshit? Then don't vote for either one until they take a more egalitarian platform. Think our foreign policy is retarded? Then don't vote for the neo-con who voted for Iraq and whose husband bombed the shit out of the middle east, and also don't vote for the nutjob that wants to start executing innocent civilians if they are related to ISIS members

and FYI, Hillary is still better than Trump. Still want to push your "lesser of two evils" bullshit?
>>
>>82085
Kill yourself delusional Drumpf cuck
>>
>>82085
I... I think you're legitimately retarded. Not figuratively. You literally have brain damage don't you? I mean, in addition to having absolutely no understanding of how science works...
In response to Gary Johnson not knowing something, anon points out three examples of each of the other candidates not knowing something. It was really really fucking obvious from their original comment, and especially from >>81941, that anon does not believe in the wage gap. Yet you say
>It's ironic that those women know that it's a myth, while you don't
so anon says that the wage gap is a myth, you respond by attacking him for.... not knowing that the wage gap is a myth?
Jesus fucking Christ. And you're the type of person who thinks Johnson's Alleppo gaffe was a big deal.
Trump really does love the poorly educated
>>
>>81672
if you really want to start a political discussion you should at least post a news article

Donald... Is that you? Are you posting on 4chan again?
>>
>>81709
I know a lot of people. So many people. Nobody knows people more than I do.
>>
>>82177
I knew this one guy, you wouldn't believe it, he was yuge.
>>
>>81681
If the question was worded in any other way, he could've answered it immediately. Likewise when he was asked about his favorite world leader, he stumbled but gave a good answer

Trump and Hilary literally piggybacked off his answer lmao
>>
>>82102
>we still need to take measures to avoid having our cities getting flooded and our crops drying out
Do you have any evidence showing that we can prevent it?
>>global warming is a hoax created by the Chinese
It's not an evil boogeyman type of scenario, the global warming, be it real or fake, is a giant business that favores some sides while fucking up the other.
Again, be it real or fake, the Chinese are massively pushing that narrative since it's really good for them economically
>>this child got vaccinations and now has autism
"Autism tsunami"
The percentage of people diagnosed with autism is rising astronomically, especially in developed countries, and "scientists" have no (don't want to give) explanations for that.
>there's a certain point were we need to be able to trust science. Also "zero reasons," are you for real? We have been producing smog for over a century, at the very least that shit isn't good for our health
Agreed on smog, but you have to understand that even a slight switch to solar/hydro/wind energy would result in an instant economic collapse, tere would be minimal difference even between Jill Stein US and Trump US in terms of green energy since a mass change is simply impossible at the moment
People die in car accidents by the MILLIONS, yet nobody bans cars since it would result in an economic suicide. Reality is sad, I would kill to live in a world that survives solely on solar energy but we're not living in an utopia.
>>
>>82130
>He just thinks global warming is entirely not happening
He does not, he debunked that in one of the debates (the last one I believe)
>There are 0 reasons to believe you have spent even 5 minutes doing any actual, real research on climate change
Provide evidence, I did my research and what I found wasn't impressive.
>I didn't realize that THIS ELECTION is the one and final election and that our country will never have any other election again for all eternity.
Third party is just a hole in the system, every single politician that wants to become POTUS joins the democrats or republicans first no matter what his ideology is (see borderline socialist Sanders, even Trump/Paul), and if he gets dumped in the primaries he starts up his third party campaign which is doomed since the victor for the original party gets more votes virtually every time
Hoping that Libertarians will become an actual third party in your lifetime if you waste your vote every 4 years is a) delusional b) unproductive
If I misunderstood you and you specifically like Gary, then it's a different story. What makes him great (as a whole, not compared to the current candidates)? I've never seen actual Gary supporters, people only seem to vote for him for being the lesser of the "three" "evils"
>and FYI, Hillary is still better than Trump
Then vote for Hillary
>>
>>82153
>I... I think you're legitimately retarded. Not figuratively. You literally have brain damage don't you? I mean, in addition to having absolutely no understanding of how science works...
Provide proper arguments instead of fallacies
>In response to Gary Johnson not knowing something, anon points out three examples of each of the other candidates not knowing something. It was really really fucking obvious from their original comment
I just used A Leppo as a meme, I didn't even touch the topic. But to be fair the comparision has no place, Trump knows what the global warming is, he just doesn't believe that it's true. Gary on the other hand was completely oblivious of the main topic on the table.
>so anon says that the wage gap is a myth, you respond by attacking him for.... not knowing that the wage gap is a myth?
I thought otherwise, my mistake
>Trump really does love the poorly educated
1) Ad hominem, bandwagon, appeal to authority, appeal to probability
2) Education != intelligence. WEALTHY people are educated because they have the wealth to get educated, and wealthy people are voting Clinton because that's what favors them.
Should I add that a large chunk of the "educated" are "educated" in "subjects" related to gender, art, ethnicity, literature e.t.c. e.t.c. you get the point, I'm not even talking about the low paying jobs they'll get, it's a well known fact that those people are indoctrinated during their studies. Would gender study majors vote for Trump?
3) I'm a PhD
>>82159
Unrelated to the discussion I just want to give an advice since I noticed the link. Rationalwiki is such a biased source that it challenges /pol/. I'd cite a different source that easily points out to the same conclusion in your place.
>>
>>82220
Pretty sure Trump and Clinton were getting questions on Syria and Aleppo long before Johnson was.
>>
>>81672
Highest politician to ever run for president.

>>82080
>Nobody asked him to "name a single world leader"
Reality would beg to differ.
https://twitter.com/MSNBC/status/781278922201718784
>>
>>82279
>he does not
He has repeatedly used cold weather as an argument that global warming is a hoax. Every time it snows in NY during the winter, he uses that as evidence that global warming is a hoax. Not that "global warming is real but God is causing it instead of humans" but that it simply isn't happening. Because when it snows in NY in January, that conclusively disproves global warming according to Mr. Trump

>I did my research
No, you haven't. Which are you having a hard time understanding? That the greenhouse effect exists? That temperatures are rising? That greenhouse gases are rising? That literally every plausible explanation except God or GHGs has been disproven?

>third party
The point is you have to show the parties that they need to earn your vote. If 1% of the country goes third party then neither R or D will give a damn. If 10% go third party, then both parties will ask themselves "how can we change our platform to court those 10%?"

>>82320
>Highest politician to ever run for president.
both literally and figuratively.
Cuz... weed + Everest
>Reality
jesus fucking christ you don't even need to watch the clip the tweet title literally says FAVORITE
He wasn't asked to name any world leader he was asked to name his FAVORITE foreign leader. Exactly as the post you responded to was pointing out.
>>
>>82345
>You don't even need to watch the clip
No you actually do lmfao.
>>
>>82371
but I did watch the clip and he specifically says "who's your FAVORITE foreign leader" and "name one foreign leader THAT YOU RESPECT"
Obviously you didn't watch the clip you posted or you would have noticed that especially after the anon above pointed this out, which is why I was pointing out that you didn't need to watch it, you just needed to read the title but you couldn't even do that.
So now you have failed to watch the clip, failed to read the title, failed to read 3 different posts
>>82345
>>82080
>>82088
ITT telling you how wrong you are
Are you going to read this post, or are you going to make it FOUR times in a single thread that you've ignored people pointing out that you're an idiot, in addition to ignoring your own link you posted?
>>
>>82378
You fucking idiotic retard, in the clip the question "Can you even name a world leader" is asked. You're even dumber than Johnson and I didn't even know that was possible.
>>
>>82383
Are you fucking retarded? The whole conversation was about naming a foreign leader THAT HE LIKED. The "can you name anybody" was in the context of that and also came a fraction of a second before Weld named Fox, who was the leader that Gary Johnson was thinking of.
So far you've ignored FOUR posts telling you what a dumbass you are, will this make it FIVE or will you finally grasp that they were discussing foreign leaders
THAT
HE
RESPECTED
>>
>>82384
Don't bother with the CTR shills.
>>
If you vote Johnson you are electing clinton. Any vote for anyone other than Trump works as a vote for her. She's a murderess. She is very evil. And extremely corrupt. This country can't survive her.
>>
>>82450
but if you vote Trump you are electing Trump. You know, a guy pandering to white supremacists and Biblethumping retards who doesn't understand economics, statistics, or science, and who thinks assassinating civilians is a smart foreign policy.
Plus, you're telling both parties that you're okay with the way our system functions. IE, you think FPTP is great and you think we should keep the same two-party system forever
>>
>>82460
At least he is not Hillary Clinton, that is why I'm voting for him.
>>
>>81672
Until the electoral college is no longer a thing third party candidates are not viable
>>
>>81672
I like him, overall. I might vote for him. Might write in Sanders. I dunno.

I'm glad to see he's being talked about so much, at least. I feel like third parties fell off the map completely post 9/11. Like that pushed people to only wanting the two extremes. If this election doesn't get people to realize how fucking horrible the two-party system is, there is no hope.
>>
>>82461
but Gary Johnson is neither Hillary nor Trump, so that's double the reason to vote for him

>>82463
The electoral college has nothing to do with this. First past the post is the problem, and that won't go away until the people stop voting for candidates that support it. You want us to have a real democracy? Vote third party until at least one of the major parties caves and decides to support democracy by fighting to get rid of FPTP.
That actually happened in Maine, people kept voting third party for the Governor races and spoiling it, so finally they're getting rid of FPTP and going with instant runoff voting to get rid of the spoiler effect.
>>
You guys are idiots. A vote for Gary Johnson is a wasted toilet water vote. Plus, he is a globalist chump. He's sold out and would accept the TPP. You guys really don't fucking get it, do you? There is no one in this election that would be better for America that Donald Trump. Just because you think he is an asshole, do you think that's a good enough reason to write him off as a viable candidate? Hillary uses pretty words, but she can't stand your ass and would rather see you dead. Plus, she has visited pedophile island with her husband bill to fuck little children. And they are satan worshippers. They would literally help the globalists finish destroying america and americans. Jill Stein is a socialist. Another shit for brains idea. And Gary Johnson is a putz and a pushover. He would let us all get fucked in the ass, and then hes so stupid, that he would be like, "OH shit, what just happened?" LMAO
>>
And you know what? I"m as asshole too, just like Donald Trump I guess, but that doesn't mean that people like me or Donald Trump, do not have the countries best interest at heart. We just hate getting screwed over. Why do you think that Donald Trump is so popular. It's because his rhetoric, if you want to call it that, I call it justice and truth, resonates with people that sick and tired of the fucking corruption in Washington and the endless fucking fruitless wars that only look to fuck the whole of humanity into non existence. Everybody is so fucking stupid that it makes me sick. This election is about two things. Freedom and Tyranny. If you want freedom, than vote for Donald Trump. If you want tyranny, than vote for Hillary Clinton, and then bend over and get ready to get fucked in the ass, because you've asked for it, like a cheap two bit hooker.
>>
>>82463
America is still obsessed with its civil war and the issues it was fought over. That's why the two party system prevails.
>>
>>82485

I don't think he's an asshole. Assholes make good presidents. I think he's a fucking IDIOT. He definitely has the lowest IQ of any candidate in history. And he probably couldn't run up a flight of stairs without collapsing.
>>
>>82460
How do you get that? Because wants to secure our borders and prevent terrorists from coming and killing us?he's not racist and hasn't said the first racist thing. You're falling for democrat bullshit.

You want more terrorists killing people? You want 4 more years without a raise because of a labor surplus that works for nothing? It's not the least bit racist. But you are for thinking that shit.

Johnson is a political hack that wouldnt even know where to begin if he was president. That said, he is leagues above The Donald.
