So trump lost?

so did he or didn't he?

also this is old news if it's the casino license application taxes

he also just said if you pay taxes you're an idiot basically
>>

Hes fucked
>>
Could have but didn't

also paying someone to steal someone else's tax records is a crime

>muh freedom of the press

nah mate.. The Times better hope Hillary wins
>>
>>76193
wait

we already know he declared bankruptcy
that's a valid reason to not pay your taxes

non-story

Didn't Trump send them these papers? They're idiots to publish this drivel

good damage control ITT

I don't support either Clinton or Trump. But is this even a story? The fact is you can offset your loses. So what?
>>
>>76220
>Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

How is this not bad? Granted it isn't illegal, but it doesn't exactly look like a positive attribute either.
>>
>>76199
by fucked do you mean up in the polls?
>>
>>76202
Someone sent them from Trump Tower, Anon. They were leaked.
>>
>>76222

I fail to see how it is bad at all. You pay whatever taxes you owe, no more. Right?
>>
>>76193
Clickbaity title, and Trump himself already admitted that he doesn't pay taxes at the debate. I don't see how this really matters tbqh, it's not like it's illegal either. If you're a wealthy businessman you're going to use everything in your power to maximize your profits and income, and when laws set in place by politicians allow you to avoid paying a shitload of money to the government you'd be a moron not to do it. Whether or not he paid taxes has no bearing on what his actual qualities as a president would be anyway, it's widely known the vast majority of extremely rich people don't pay them for aforementioned reasons.
>>
>>76193
>Speculations on tax returns
>from 1995

They're putting out an aggrandized accusation in order to attempt to bait him into releasing his more current returns. This is a bigger reach than the "putin-trump-pepe- connection and also barely qualifies as journalism.

And yet people still eat this shit up.
>>
>>76222
>How is this not bad?
Keeping your own money= good.
Not breaking the law= good.

It only becoming an issue when h started to oppose democrats= obvious as to why it's suddenly an issue.
>>
>>76244

Isn't he being audited anyways? He can't release his recent tax returns if that's the case.
>>
>>76193
>He could have avoided paying taxes for nearly two decades
Meaning he didn't? He paid his taxes like a responsible citizen?

I fail to see how this is bad.
>>
>>76250
>He can't release his recent tax returns if that's the case.
He can, there's just no reason to.

If the authorities already have his information and so far haven't found anything criminal, despite the IRS's documented anti-right wing bias, then the "court of public opinion" getting a hold of his tax returns serves zero purpose other then to fuel spin against him. In 1995 and still today, this is perfectly legal.

But if people truly have some sort of issue with this, they should remember who was President in 95 and "allowed" this to happen.
>>
>>76193
>So trump lost?

Everyone already knew he didn't pay taxes. This is just a minor conformation.
>>
Legally, he's supposed to put profit of the corporation ahead of everything.

Letting shit tank and fucking his shareholders so the guy can avoid taxes and live off interest for years is technically illegal. If you can prove it was intentional.

>>76204
>Trump

I don't get it? Did he do something illegal? Or is this more of a legal but it's still immoral issue? Or is this even an issue.

He already admited doing that, news are not new.

I don't think you understand how tax evasion works. It's not the IRS sending you a bill and you just throwing it in the trash. I mean, yeah that's tax evasion too in the most stupid and easily caught way. It's typically in the form of taking questionable write offs to lower your tax bill significantly (or to zero).

I guess the key story is how similar Mr. Trump is to the financial elites and insiders is. His supporters have made a big deal about him being fresh and unique, and this proves he is just more of the same.
>>
>>76193
He did nothing illegal. If you knew anything about taxes, you'd know this.

>>76374
It's not an issue. The left is trying to distract you from real issues (The Clinton Foundation, emails, Hillary's evil, etc)
>>
>>76388
>The left is trying to distract you from real issues (The Clinton Foundation, emails, Hillary's evil, etc)
You mean the ones where Republican lead investigations repeatedly fond her innocent? Wasn't the argument there that even though she did nothing illegal that it shows character weaknesses? How is this not the same for Trump?

Could you at least pretend to be unbiased?
>>
>>76374
What is being alleged is not illegal as long as his $1bn loss was legit, and if so he is using the tax writeoff more or less as intended. What makes it a sleazy loophole is that he ran several of his businesses into the ground to get the large negative income to put on his return, securing the tax writeoff, but then he had his investors and contractors absorb the loss when the businesses went under, thus leaving him free to not pay taxes on future income despite not personally taking a loss that year.

Like most tax tricks it's not criminal, but in this case his investors could potentially file civil suit, and it would be criminal if it could be established that Trump sabotaged healthy companies (I don't think he did - I think he trashed those companies of his that were already failing).

The rest of us are getting long-sick of all of your shit, and the pressure is building. People won't sit back forever, cultist, no matter how hard your brassy trumpets play.

Trump is going to win because of this. This is nuts how fucked Hillary is.

So no?

You should probably check what that word means, because it doesn't mean "someone who doesn't agree with you". Bias comes before proof, and there's ample proof unless you're an idiot, ignorant, or a shill, shill.

No, his companies declared bankruptcy. He has never filed for personal bankruptcy.
>>
>>76518
>because it doesn't mean "someone who doesn't agree with you".
That's his point, not yours silly.

The quoted person said Trump's non-illegal "scandal" was distracting from Clinton's non-illegal "scandal". They are both the same but being treated differently by a Trump supporter. That's bias. If this is a non-issue for Trump, then one should equally think the Clinton Foundation and the emails are a non-issue for Clinton. Or if they are an issue, then so is the other. The guy literally said "Hillary's evil". That's blatant bias.

So spam "shill" and "ctr" because all you have is memes and no ideas, consistency, or interest in truth.

Faggot liberal.
>>
>>76389
Nobody cares about who supports who is republican or democrat anymore, you moron. It's irrelevant. This is now a battle between the working class and the liberalization of America.
>>
>>76605
Seriously? Let's test you. Tell me what you know about guns and why you should ban them from the 99% of legal owners to stop the 1% of illegal owners from commiting crime. Explain what makes those 1% illegal as opposed to the 99% of legal guns. Also, make sure to do it without avoiding the topic in any way, and no personal insults.
>>
>>76660
What does that have anything to do with people applying a double standard for Clinton in this thread?
>>
Trump lost $9million dollars as of 2008. He was 3.4 million dollars in debt in the 80s...Trump is not financially stable.
>>
I disagree with Trump's protectionist policies, but can someone explain what is immoral with tax evasion? I don't remember signing a social contract.

I think a similar reasoning to the rules that apply to soldiers in prisoner of war camps should apply to taxes. You have an obligation to evade taxes as much as possible so you shouldn't be punished if you get caught, only made to pay the taxes you owe.
>>
>>76714
Its not immoral if you never use anything paid for by taxes
>>
>>76193
Who is surprised by what we confirmed by this? I really do not get how something we pretty much knew already can affect the election so much.

Do people really have the memory of a goldfish? Every news story makes it seems like people barely remember the track record of either candidate.
>>
>>76731
Trump still paid taxes you fucking moron.
He just used loss of operating costs to deduct the taxes from his buisness.
He still payed income taxes, sales taxes, taxes on his investments and so on.
>>
>>76387
his supports see this as 'sticking your middle finger' to the fed gov. this is optimal, and everyone should do everything they legally can to not pay taxes to BIG GOV. dems need to back off this topic, because most people view this as a win
>>
>>76605
>left wing projection

>>
>>76784
>his supports see this as 'sticking your middle finger' to the fed gov.
Oh I get that, but he's doing it the same way every other insider and corrupt official does it.

You're probably right that his supporters don't care about this issue. It's just weird that they promote him as being different when he's in every substantive way more of the same.
>>
>>76807
The reason people support him is that he is viewed as a former insider who went rogue and see all the hate for him from former friends as proof that he has genuinely gone rogue and is now on the side of the people.
>>
>>76808
Eh not really. He does have a different tone than what people are used, and for many that's enough, even if the substance is the same.

Trump is a good promoter. His task isn't to sell a different product. It's to sell the same product differently. So far he's been fairly successful.

I love your post. Denial, obfuscation and redirection - anything than face the facts.
I know facts are alien to all parties but Trump supporters have developed it into an art form.
SO many surrogates who have painted themselves into a corner and continue to deny there is anything to address.

Just tells me America has become one of the very dumbest nation on the earth.

>>76539
>giving more money to the federal government helps the working class

How? The working class works, it doesn't rely on welfare. And the working class is predominantly in the private sector, so taxation of business hurts them as well.
Why should Trump get taxed more so it can be used to pay corrupt politicians or bail out banks or fund wars in the Middle East?

Get your priorities sorted out kid.
