I'd dearly like to know how a few dozen interceptors (which don't work) in Europe are supposed to intercept an appreciable number of Russian missiles. They're used as a scapegoat and distraction by Russia (one that people like you fall for), but not viewed as remotely a serious threat to deterrence.

NATO came closer because more nations wanted to join, and deploys troops to those nations only because Russia keeps scaring the pants off of them.
