It's what happened to the Neanderthals, the Ainu people of Japan, the Native Americans, and finally the Jews after getting exiled by the Latins. I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to say that at least here in America, transport board members don't usually have experience in transport. They're often people with some sort of success in a skilled field (i.e. partner in a prestigious law firm), which allows for a great degree of flexibility in who can be on the board. Boards are also usually replaced when a new politician comes into power because the politician wants a board member that will follow the pol's orders, so a good portion of the board was gonna get sacked anyways since Boris didn't run this term.
