There's a real display of the kind of leader you might have. Too bad the only other ones like that are in the Asians and the Russians. The wests arguably strongest leader whose actions are listened to is fucking Merkel and look what thats getting us.
>>
> threatening a company
Ohh, so great an achievement!
>>
>>33654
It is, are you ok? Tariffs are legal you get that yes? You have a problem with the protection of American employees?

NAFTA and private business rights.
Threatening a multinational company with sanctions in this day and age is pretty much suggesting they should advance their outsourcing and foreign incorporation programs, just to ensure as little revenue as possible is being returned back into the national economy.
>>
>>33690

have you no business experience? you assume these multinational juggernauts have a sense of "fair play." You have to negotiate with them because otherwise they will walk all over you. that's just the nature of business. if you want to be naive about it then go ahead, but don't be surprised when the situation stays exactly the same because you won't lift a finger to change things

Go retake econ101 at your local com. college. Please. The next President should be ready to have an economic war because the upcoming crash will be worse than 08

>the upcoming crash will be worse than 08
Is it being delayed until the Lightbringer is out of office? Will they postpone it as long as they can if Hillary wins?
>>
>>33750
They'll pump as much air into keeping it inflated for as long as they can. It's smokes and mirrors at this point once they started QE its been on an 8yr cycle of crashe...err buckles.

What else is there left to do? We're at .25% which we all understand is just a damn 0. The FED will continue bluffing with raising rates and do nothing. Which is the wrong move we should have had the rates go up 2-3 years ago. They say they're waiting to see how the data looks but there is nothing in next quarters statement that outweighs 2-3 yrs worth of data.

Smoke and mirrors folks. The medicine will taste like shit but we gotta let it sink as safely as possible let somethings fail and stop QE. Thats why I'm on the track of mind that the next one is the big one because whats next? Going below 0%? I've heard this, what the fuck is negative %'s?
>>
lol this is a ploy to keep all the ignorant backcountry boys happy to buy their shiny over-compensating truck. This is also to buy favor for when the auto industry needs some more bail outs that may likely come with our next upcoming recession in a few months.

To think that this Authoritarian appeal is what right-wingers crave so much is just getting ridiculous.

When you start craving
>le strong leader
you're already digging your own ditches. Democracy? No. Let's tell the people what's right! When governments like Russia and China censor their media by shutting it down, and silence political opposition with prison and killing them, you're already rolling down hill. But it's okay! You need strong big brother leader to make you less scared of all those bad people!

This boards not that shit after all. The understanding of economy or confusing of tariffs with totalitarianism in most posts is disgusting. Zero understanding. Never met a Rep that failed to understand these only my fellow Dem.
>>
If we'd never got rid of Tariffs in the 1st place we wouldnt have been so fucked
Fuck /biz/
If you watch any old videos of Trump then you know shit like this is all he really cares about, he feels the US does too much for other countries and they dont do enough for us. The rest is just BS he says to get votes he has no real opinions outside economics
>>
>>33578
No shit of course they are supporting trump, it would be a great day for international corporations if trump was president
>>
Meaningless posturing and nothing more. The major companies are above nations as they do not call one specific one home and choose which laws, if any, they follow as a result.
The genie is not going back into the bottle, it's a global race to the bottom. The free market has spoken and surprising absolutely no one it chooses the richest and most powerful while fucking over everyone else.
>>
^Wrong.

is there a single candidate who, through either policy or personality, could carry us through a serious depression? Things will be bad, but the goal is to avoid a total cultural/societal collapse. i'm really afraid that the lower working classes will get violent if they have nothing else to turn to. If trump could keep the masses at bay, i'd give him his shot at catalyzing our ruin. at this point patching holes for another 4 years will just make it worse.
>>
>>33987
Lets assume they're all able too.

Based on personality/polarity?
Trump/Sanders>Hill/Kasich>Cruz

In reality though based on actions/words/history? Trump>>>Kasich>Hill>>>Sanders(lol socialism)/Cruz

Based on ability to get anything passed/working with the otherside?
Trump/Kasich/Hill>>>>>>>>Cruz>Sanders

Sanders/Cruz have a horrendous tack record working with others and Sanders has the worst. Kasich/Hill/Trump will be able to work something with both sides. Hill/Kasich would crumble at only one termers and would look towards keeping the status quo leaving open borders that further sink the low wages we have. Illegals are economic issue that slows actual growth and are a burden worth 500b based on economists from Harvard. Both of them are pro NAFTA/TPP and during a crash that simply wouldn't fly.

An economic collapse would really mean ww3 though...
